I just saw a trailor and I think it is the most lifelike looking game I have ever seen. the end. I won't play it but OMG video has come a long way since UT.

Triple core processors, video cards with 4 gig of ram on board, yeehaw!
Can holodecks be all that far away?

What truly has been exciting to me lately is the news of the small processors they've been adapting to new style hearing aid implants that allow the deaf to hear at least some sounds. And those 1st implants that allow the blind to see at least something, albeit crudely so far, is also exciting. In 10 and 20 years where will those technologies be?
We've got members and former members of this community waiting on that kind of stuff already. I'm pumped at what might be available soon.

My nephew plays something on the Xbox that is similar to B3 graphics wise. It's a science fiction themed game and you roam around the star systems searching and fighting. It's so realistic that it's like watching Star Trek or Stargate episodes. It's called Mass Effect 2.

My nephew plays it on my brothers huge lcd screen TV with full home theatre sound effects. I think that's the only way to play these new games. Large and in your face. An ordinary PC experience just won't be good enough.
