Congrats to Boston

Post by a nameless entity » Thu Jun 16, 2011 10:35 am

Hey well played there, Boston. What a sweet win, 4-0 on Vancouver's home ice.

I see that the home team's fans took the loss in atypical Canadian fashion:

What a national disgrace!

nameless,........kudos to you to offer Boston fans congratulations. It is too bad that there are a minority who causes issues that makes international news.

I just wish that they had police, RCMP, or whomever that they could had on standby to prevent this disgrace. I feel it is poor planning on the powers at be.

Winning or losing, there are those who create issues and history has proven this. The police should have been placed in riot gear and stationed before hand and not after. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure- Ben Franklin

I knew one your fellow countryman, named Bruce Nice. He was from a small town, I can not say from which town or area, in Canada and when he and I were down in Florida. I broke up a fight between a drunk male subject and a drunk female subject, who got herself knocked down to the ground after he hit her in the face after she after him. I separated the two and I squared up with the male subject and he left. To my surprise Bruce was "shocked" and was standing in the background (Bruce was a bigger body than me). I looked at Bruce and he actually had a tear or two in his eyes. I asked if he was OK and he told me that he is not used to seeing violence like that where he was from. So my whole point of this story was I thought Canadians were more civilized than us Americans.

Well, we like to think that we are, since we have socialized medicine, make it very difficult to own a handgun, and support the PBS television stations that broadcast across the border better than the local Americans do. ;)

And as proof that we are, I hereby offer up this exception that proves the rule:

Aren't we amazing!? :?

No hand guns, how un-American. I still like my neighbors from the North.
P.S. If you have a heavy enough baby you could knock out the other person
