Re: YouTubeFest...
I haven't been following this thread for a while, but just lately I have come across a lot of music videos made by a fellow who calls himself IMTheMagicRat. All of the ones I have checked out so far have all had excellent sound quality. And are backed up with awesome photo montages appropriate to the theme of the song, featuring lots of sweet eyecandy.
Here's an example:

Re: YouTubeFest...
I am not sure if I should post the video here or not, due to the language (swear words). Normally I dislike swear words and it just shows how intelligent your are or are not by your language that you use. .......BUT...... this guy is Irish and something about the Irish swearing makes me laugh some, of course his reaction to playing the game is funny as well...
So click on the link ONLY if you DO NOT mind swear words.

Are you going to pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?

On a semi-related note, I love swear words and... swear by them. Especially when I stub my toe!
intelligent "you" are.

Never critique swear words as a lack of intelligence when you make a typo like that.David wrote:Normally I dislike swear words and it just shows how intelligent your are or are not by your language that you use

Re: YouTubeFest...
Perhaps you've been seeing the commercial on TV or hearing it on the radio that uses a bit of this song by Edith Piaf. I had a heck of a time remembering her name, which is one reason why I'm posting a couple of her videos here.
Here's her version of a well known French language song. Perhaps she made this one famous too?
And here's something by a young at the time French singer whom I had never heard of before tonight. I was surfing and went to a website owners blog and found his post of this teen angst song. Basically she sings about how everyone her age has a boyfriend/girlfriend but she does not. Hard to believe when you see how pretty she was in the early '60's.
She's still quite famous and did a lot of other nice songs, which are also worth a listen.
Someone thoughtfully posted the lyrics to this song in the replies section. Scroll on down if you want to read them while she sings, or do spot of translating.

Ack! Reverse Space Invaders! Instead of going down the screen they go up! Quick! Where's my joystick?!?
After all that excitement here's something to calm down with:
The lyrics in french are in the replies section. But Babelfish and Bing would only translate a couple of lines at a time. How disappointing. Surely there's a FREE translator that let's you put in a few paragraphs??

Re: YouTubeFest...
Since nameless was posting some videos of a "frenchy" vibe to it. I will post a song that is in French.
To be honest........ in the past when I have heard people speak French I have thought the language to be.... not that appealing. I guess from growing up, I had exposure to some people who were arrogant and thought too highly of themselves that spoke French.. so I related French to stuck up, snobby people. (US media does portrays this as well)
BUT, when I heard the following song, I thought that it was nicely done and that the language can also be beautiful. (When I said the last part of the sentence in my own head it makes me cringes some, not because of the value of what I said, ..... it just sounds woman like. hahaha) Enjoy.
