I walked in to my bank to deposit a rather large check. Thank you very much. Anyways, while filling out the depo slip I hear a manager telling this girl about Chuck Norris. Only Chuck norris himself could have joined in faster. He and I had a instant concert of Chuck Norris facts and we were both crying laughing and evetrybody was watching us and crying laughing to. It was awesome. He also told be one I never heard. Here goes:

Yes. My bank is called Chase Bank. What do you use to make deposits at your bank? Is there another way?

Perhaps some of the smaller Credit Unions still use deposit slips, but all of the big banks up here got rid of them years ago. When you go to the teller you just mention what it is you want to do. When it's all done you get a print out of what was done. And if you use a bank book, that is updated at the same time.

They also tried installing 2-4 bank machines per branch in an effort to be able to reduce the number of tellers. That didn't work out so well. Most older clients still want to deal with a real person while banking, and so do many younger clients as well. In fact when they renovated the main branch downtown, my bank got rid of all but one machine in the lobby. One of the tellers thanked me for refusing to use a machine a while back. She said it was helping to save her job. -Just another reason for Luddite-ism, in my philosophy.
