What else are you up to?
What else do you folks do besides hang out here?
I was active with the cub scouts but got out because it seemed to eat way to much time and I was doing all of the work and not my son.
I'm very active with my church giving lots of time to doing work that helps charities.
I'm on the school board at my kid's school.
I was very active with our home owners association but recently became disenchanted with them once I determined they were too weak to create positive change.

Re: What else are you up to?
I work and I sleep; not much of a life these days. Especially on the work as they fired someone recently so I am, again, working 6 days a week.
I usually goto the movies every other week. Timing being ideal this past Thursday, I saw both Lucy & Guardians of the Galaxy.

Re: What else are you up to?
I heard that Guardians movie was totally awesome. I saw the latest Dragon Ball Z movie with my boys last night. Pretty good actually. I'm the fan. They like it too but not as much as me. For the record: the theater was packed. That was one of the most amazing parts to me about seeing this movie. The other amazing thing was the people on the sides of me and behind me were singing along with some of the songs in the movie.
It was a full house. Not a single seat went unused.

Guardians rocked!
Never been into DBZ, though I've liked some of the AMVs made from it.

Re: What else are you up to?
I've made on work some new furniture, removed weed in the garden and planted a new lawn there. This month I was quite busy at work. This week I also helped my mom and dad with the living room, making the walls pure white again. Got als some new furniture from them, scratchless. And now I have vacation, driving on the 16th towards France with some other people. I'd say work is done, and let's kick back a bit. Enjoy!

Haha no. Took me 4-6 weeks to get it removed ( with help of others from time to time)EvilGrins wrote:Really?Terraniux wrote:removed weed in the garden

Enough weed or weeds to make gardeners cry out loud and give them nightmares. Makes them move to a another state somewhere far far far away in the desert where nothing greens grows. They are offically retired

You became disenchanted with the HOA? That means that you were enchanted with the HOA at one point.Hermskii wrote: I was very active with our home owners association but recently became disenchanted with them once I determined they were too weak to create positive change.
Sorry, I never lived in a place fancy enough for a HOA. Those few people that I did know in the past that lived in a neighborhood that was controlled by a HOA never had anything good to say about a HOA. I understand the concept of the HOA, to protect the values of the homes in the neighborhood and stuff like that, but I do not like the idea of other people telling me what I can and can't do with MY house. You can't fly the flag on Sunday, you can't have that color of trim, and etc..... I know each experience is different but...........no.
I mostly work and then come home and wait to go to work. I work shift work and every 3 months or so, I rotate to the next shift. I also get call outs from time to time. I am a supervisor so I sometimes go in on my own time to catch up on paperwork.
Lately I have been all jacked up on the schedule because of training and people taking vacations, that I have had almost no time to relax and play a game or two of UT.
When my schedule allows it, I attend my church and try to fulfill my duties there. I know I need to do better, but with my schedule lately I have not been able to do my calling.
Are you going to pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?

Finishing my Basement!
Been working down there for months now.
Just putting the finishing touches on the rock fireplace.
Ceilings are all done.
About 1/2 the painting also done.
More later!
