I passed my CompTIA N+ Certification Exam this morning!

This cert has been a thorn in my side for years. I should have studied for and passed it back in June of 2013 but I never got around to it. I came close but then didn't take the test. My work forced me to do it this month. Done and I get a pay-hike for passing so I'm happy.

The test was much harder than I expected it to be. For those keeping score I got a 766 and needed a 722 to pass.

Hahaha! Hardly. just like you can get in and drive nearly any car you are master driver of none. That is how this is a little. This cert just means I have a general knowledge of certain networking rules that apply to most networking frameworks. A wired network doesn't work if a certain network cable is unplugged or terminated improperly. That is true for all brands of wired network gear. This certification is really not recognized as being so great but is actually harder to get than most people think. A specific brand cert goes much further like any Cisco networking certification is much better yet much harder too.
