Checking on Hermskii
Well, how is our Hermskii doing with the weather in Texas? Hopefully, you are not one of the many without power. Hopefully, you are staying warm.

Are you going to pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?

Re: Checking on Hermskii
Sorry so long. I just saw this. It has been a busy week. Yes, we had no power and sub freezing temps for a few days. Monday we were down and out. Same on Tuesday. Then we had power on and off all day Wednesday until 10:00 PM. At that time, the power cam on and never turned off. We still had no water because it was frozen until Thursday evening. Then we had another freeze Thursday night. The entire top of my pool froze again. It was the top 1/2' of water that froze. Today, Friday happened and all the temps went up. Everything melted and water started coming again. It will be another freeze tonight but a very lite freeze. We are in for a nice weekend.
The whole thing sucked pretty bad. I had a generator that didn't work until I fixed it on Wednesday night. It could provide up to 3700 watts so I kept the food in the fridge cold and kept our laptops and phones charged. I had 1 faucet break. It would not turn off even when I turned it off. The water kept coming. I ended up capping it and will replace the valve this weekend.
We are blessed and got off lite compared to many folks. Thanks for asking about it.

Glad things worked out for you. I am glad that more of the water pipe and connections did not burst. What a headache, but glad you made it through.
