X Console for UT

I've spoken in game about this console so many times that it is about time that I make it available to anyone who wants it.

As I've said in game, it replaces the standard UT console with a nicer one, that is ideally suited for the use of Admins.

ie. You can't give away the password for the server when trying to login as an admin, because the console has its own separate field for you to type the password into.

As an admin you don't need to go crazy trying to remember the stupid UT jargon needed to summon most of the commonly summoned items. There is a separate tab in the console, and you just pick what you want from the menu.

And etc. It's just so handy to have.

Read the "readme" that comes with the console. According to the author, there is a slight chance that some servers may see it as a "cheat" and kick or ban you. He says he's never seen that happen, and neither have I. So I'm fairly confident you won't have any problems.
(And any server that is so touchy about addons should be played from a separate install of UT anyway, imho.)

OK - I took a look at the ReadMe for this.
One thing it says that causes me pause on this XConsole...

The map vote check-box will select either BDBMapVote304 (and *only* this version) or League Assault map voting if League Assault is the game type.
Note these mutators must be setup on the server to work.

So MapVoteLA13 won't work with this installed? Or what?

Actually MapVoteLA means Map_Vote_League_Assault; it's been developed by Cratos for the UT assault league, but the core of the mutator is still the old BDBMapVote:

Does it work with regular game types (other than League Assault) and the new MapVoteLA13?

I take it you are asking about a server side install? If you make the proper backups and then just go ahead and install won't that answer your question?

I was only talking about using this on the client side, and I have no idea what might happen server side.

Anyone that you make an admin on your server will be happy to have this handy little console; that's all I can say.

Actually I was just talking about ANY install. (Client mainly)
And, No, I don't install anything unless I get a simple answer.
If you can't say it works, I don't even bother.

As far as administering, I rarely need to, so it would be just an extra added thing on the server.

witch version is this one i use the v3.12 and it works nice for admin has alot of functions for the anit cheat stuff like utdc as well not to mention works well if you run mutiple servers as it can save up to like 13 passwords i think
