skinning an embedded model

Post by EvilGrins » Fri Aug 12, 2011 11:39 pm

I've brought this up before...here or there

This map generates its own extra bot.

It fights both active players and the monsters on the map. Previously I wanted to find a way to get rid of her, as it's an unskinned Female Commando model, but I've come to appreciate the greater challenge of having a 3rd party to battle against. So now I want something a little different...

...I wanna skin her. Problem is I don't know how to skin a model that's embedded within a map. I included a link to it as I have no mapping skills whatsoever, hoping someone can either do it for me or tell me how to do it.

Part of the reason I've collected so few female skins over the years is there's very few decent ones out there. Either most of them suck or someone (for reasons I've never understood) thought making a naked skin of a Female model was a good idea.

Possibly with this skin:

Yeah, I do not know anything about those imbedded bots.
We do have that one map on CMM that has that bot/monster though - he's really fun and Funny too.

That version of MH-Titania ][ over at Hook's place is interestingly different than any other I've seen. If you drop down into the Titan's room you land on his head, and survival is by no means easy.
No goodies down there either, though. :|
I'm a man........but I can change........if I have to........I guess

Yeah, that is the one I am talking about.
If it wasn't a Redeemer Arena - maybe some "goodies" would be there?
The redeemer usually puts Mr Titan down - 1 or 2 shots, depending on Which Redeemer Configuration you are playing.
I don't know what the original was named, but the one we have on CMM is called: DM-Titania][

Mr. Titan is a bot in and of itself, the only monsters I've seen that have actual conversational and interactive capabilites in the entire series. I've got Mr. Titan in deathmatches, CTF, and a few other gametypes.

He's incoporated into the Titans.u file.

Yes, it would be fun to incorporate him into some of our maps. (and my maps too)
Wonder how he would react in a more open map? Hmmmm.... :P

I use MonsterSpawn for LMS matches because I learned an interesting little trick. The monsters can't kill you...well they can but it doesn't effect the number of lives you have left. However, there are a few monsters I can't setup for it because they do take your remaining lives when they kill you.

Mr. Titan is one of them. He's completely summonable.

Do you have Titans.u? I can send it to you if you don't...though if you have any of the maps he's in then it's in your system directory.

I will have to check if I have Titan.u
I probably do at home.
My player install is from 1999 - never re-installed in all these years.

I didn't heard about Titans.u but once I extracted UTDMT script from Mr.Titan map and I tried some TDM with Bots versus Mr.Titan and a few monsters added by monsterspawn.

Indeed was a funny match in fact I lie, was awsome.
