Look what I found...hmm

Post by MEAT » Tue Jan 22, 2008 12:21 pm

I think I'm just like the next guy. When no one is around I like
to explore and see what I can find odd in a map.
Well, I came across this cassette tape while exploring DM-LakeIsland.
From what I could gather it serves no purpose other than maybe a Mappers
way of leaving his mark or signature for that map?

One map I made for a clan I added all their names in a marquee going around some rooms - lit up.
And added some pictures of their graphics so it really looked like their map.
It was kind of neat!

Well this cassette I found was in a place where no one goes.
I just figured it was a signature/trademark of some kind.
Basically a great idea to make the mappers presents known.

As for me, the only thing I leave behind when I play a map is your Blood.

The grass is always greener on the other side, unless Chuck Norris has been there. In that case the grass is most likely soaked in blood and tears.

Cool! They call these instances "Easter Eggs" and I have always loved the concept of hiding stuff in a map. Sorta like the party room in Indiana Jones. If I ever made maps, I'd do something like it in each one for sure. Derdak2rot has put statues of me in different maps over the years. I love that the most!

I said before you and matrix will be statued in my current project. Speaking of , it is about half way finished. I need to put some more time towards it soon. I have been neglecting it.

Herm,
Do you remember that map DM-Alters of madness , that i made for CG? It had an easter egg, complete with the curious George server logo. Do you still use that map on the server? Did you ever see the egg?
