Here in Italy we had a "Armed Forces and National Unity Day" on November 4th to celebrate the end of the WWI and all of those who died trying to serve their country.

Respect to the veterans and also to the victims of the wars.

That is awesome Scify!
My Great Grandfather was in the Civil War.
My Grandfather was in WWI.
My Real Dad (Killed in Service) was a Torpedo Bomber instructor in WWII and the rest of the time until his death in 1959 he was a Navy Test Pilot.
He was killed in a test.
My Step Father was in WWII Europe in the 5th Armored Division.
And My Mother was in the Navy in WWII. (where she met my dad)
I was born on a Navy Base. (as were my brother and sister)
Nothing but military in my ancestry.

My brother and I had high lottery numbers during Vietnam and conditions that were not conducive for us to enlist.
Whew!
Sorry to ramble but I have never actually written this down!

That reminds me. I have USAA insurance which everyone knows is the best insurance and everything else company in the world. It used to be pretty hard to get being you or a parent had to have been an officer to be eligible to get it.

They have changed the rules people. Now, even if you were ever enlisted, you are eligible!

Call 1-800-531-8111 and talk to them. You will see that they will clobber the crap out of ANY INSURANCE COMPANY you have ever had!

Please give them a call and see for yourself. I bet I just saved several folks here in the thousands especially if they own a home and a couple of cars. USAA also does home loans, car loans well basically every single thing you would ever ask your bank to do. Yes, Visa cards, checking accounts, mutual funds....everything!

Do it right now! Call them and see for yourself and please post back here your results like: Hey Herm, you were right! I saved $1,800 per year by switching. Which now points me in the pay off area. Don't you think you should send me at least 1/10Th of whatever you just saved due to this post? This is so good I have to start a new topic.

Really Herm, that is very good information and I do hope that people are able to get better deal with USAA. You just sounded like a spam bot or a Gieco commercial.

People need to save money and have good insurance these days. Here is the link to USAA https://www.usaa.com/inet/ent_logon/Log ... ch30450316
