Wouldn't it be great if we could, other then kicking or banning players, have a mod that would point out the trouble makers?MEAT wrote:I don't play Monster Hunt but it's the competitiveness we have as indivduals, to want to win, that makes team play difficult.
As well the ignorance of some people not understanding the concept of teamwork.
Plus, the more people you have in a game the more leaders, followers and vigilantes you'll have.
Maybe there skin would have them in a dress or have the word STUPID on the back of there shirts.
Or make it to where they play in slooow motion.
I guess it would have to be an admin mod....just a thought.

And a good thought at that, M. There are two kinds of competativeness I see. One being the glory of earning the highest score, and two being the glory of ending the map first. Both are okay, in my opinion, except when it gets so bad that players will just stand in a corner and shoot falling pupae rather than help out with the map. But I also think people should do whatever satisfies them, as long as their actions don't bother surrounding players. And your thoughts on a trouble-maker identifier, MEAT, to start with, I was trying to play on another server today, and while UT was downloading the required files, I saw it downloading a file called "WhoPushedMe". I never actaully even made it onto the server but I am pretty sure this is a mod that will tell players WHO boosted them of ledges, or WHERE that darn deemer came from. Maybe worth looking into..?

Yeah that is good mod. Not very old either.
It's on allot of servers. Specially BT servers.
Why didn't we think of it sooner.
What ever. I like Meats idea better.
It will ease our pain if they are labeled Stupid or LAMER.
We could change their skin to a llama!!
It could be a variation on the war cow.
There is some code in one of the MH mods That puts the players names over their heads and remaining hit points over the heads of the monsters.
That could be changed to say what ever you want.
Some additional code would have to be written. and . . . yes
An admin or moderator would have to turn it on a player , correct.
But it doesn't sound to difficult.
It's doable.

Meat's idea is a good one.
But get this, we'll spend all this time writing stuff on peoples heads,
and in the end, all we've achieved is making the well known troublemakers even more widely known.
I mean, we already know who the troublemakers are, why not just kick/ban them?
Making someone look like a llama won't keep them from tripping someone on IndianaJones.
But, we could use it as.. maybe, after a player is banned, then unbanned, if we see the need, we could make them wear our troublemaker tag on their heads, to let other players know that this person has caused problems before, and to keep an eye on them.
That's my thought on the matter.
