KK those are all valid things to look at. I was explaining to MEAT I moved the spawnpoint of the redeemer rocket out a little because of moving the weapon skin out and down some so it didnt block the HUD. Obviously I need to tweak it more, and thats a great catch on it.
I'll also add an ini line for a custom Trans. One that allows the admin to set throw strength and whether the trans has a trail or not and is quiet or not.
Klownz if you tell me what you want, I'd be happy to make KlownzDeemer for you exactly the settings you desire. Making things for people is most fun for me. Drop me an email and we can discuss a few options for you, and I'll try to get an updated goDeem on in the next couple of days.

As regards the slow downloading files, sometimes it happens to me also on public servers, and the oddity is that if I quit the download and restart it, the second time I have a 50% of chance it works fine. :?

Quick explanation on this (totally from Herm's vast knowledge, he squared me away on it):

If you are downloading files from a server and hit one NOT on the redirect, ALL following files will then be slow sent from the server. If you disconnect and reconnect, then you can resume the fast redirect downloads so long as they are there. That is why it is so important to mirror every single file.

Let me quickly thumbnail what is possible. I can "borrow" the blast from any weapon and replace the one that is in there now. In fact the blast the goDeemer uses is actually the one from the mercury missle. If you want a blast from another mod it can easily be replaced.

Guys PLEASE stop summoning things and logging as admin EVERY SINGLE MAP. The logs are full of logins and summons. Ease up on this immediately. I don't mind a little horseplay but I see line after line after line of summons. Don't make me change the password.

Mercury Missile? That's a Descent2 missile, well actually it's the fastest missile you can find in Descent2, since it was equipped with an afterburner. If only we could use the Smart Mines in UT... oh and the Helix Cannon of course. :twisted:

I've had this error on the Test Server and my UT has crashed. I think I know the reason why: me and Ice were standing up exactly in the same position (with the "ghost" mod two or more players can be exactly in the same place) and I started tossing my weapons right up on my head, so when they fell down probably the engine didn't know what to do with them, since we were in the same position and my UT crashed.

What I'll bet happened was the game was trying to add the same weapons to both inventories since you both were in effect catching them as they dropped. DrawGameSynopsis does a checkinventory and thats probably what ran away on you.

Interesting error, but not much I can do to fix it.

Yeah, if you need a weird error, just call the POTS.

Amazing the way these folks can find ways to see if they can break stuff. It tells me they need to go into Quality Control positions in their real lives. Be beta testers at a minimum.

The game just wasn't designed to allow people to occupy the same space. Collision is a big part of the code, but I am using a native function to allow the NoCrowding. Perhaps I'll add a check to make sure you are not touching anyone else before you can toss things or add to inventory.
I hesitate to ask this POTS but did it crash the server too or just you?

BTW, probably tomorrow the server will be passworded differently to allow testing of a gametype. It will only be for part of a day, then it will go back to normal. I'm not sure yet if things will be ready or not so I'll let you guys know.

It was just me, the server was still running the same map, but Ice left the game. :roll:
It should be a client-side problem, so it's not a big deal IMO.
