In case you didn't notice, I have rearranged a few things here. First, I merged the CG and MHM forums into one. Then I added a new forum for Kort's server (MHM2). She can tell me what she really wants it to be called and I'll modify it later.

For me, this will make it easier for me to track what is going on here since I can't seem to get the icons to change on my computer when changes have happened here on the forum. I'm having to go by date to tell who responded where.

Beyond Unreal Forum (BUF) is down right now. For those of you who don't know, BUF is one of the 2 greatest UT forums EVER in my opinion. No, my own forum doesn't even make my own top 5 list but I do it for you. I sure hope they get BUF back up and running while not losing too much historical stuff. On the other hand, I hope lots of those folks find there way over here if BUF never comes back up again.

I'm hopeful to be one of the last standing UT servers and websites on the planet. Time will tell and it seems UT is still going very strong but I see signs that indicate to me that about half of the remaining UT99 sites will be closing down in the next 2 years or so. I DON"T PLAN TO BE ANY OF THOSE! That is all.

Also i was actually going to see if i could change my name to just K
I want to go down just like 3 with an amazing short name that sounds kewl.
Just never got around to asking you to change it.
On BuF you just post in a certain thread to get a name change.

As you know, BeyondUnreal has been down for a few days and we wanted to bring you up to date on the situation. This weekend, we suffered multiple simultaneous drive failures, including the drive with our database backup. Thankfully, after a great effort we've been able to recover a lot of the database by salvaging what we could and from older independant backups. Unfortunately, we did lose all of 2007 and part of 2006 from the forums. N

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO HOSTED SITE ADMINS
You MUST contact us if you have data stored in the database that you would like us to recover. It is a difficult and annoying process to retrieve anything from the corrupted data, so PLEASE get ahold of us ASAP if you have data that was created later than May 23, 2006 that you need to have us attempt to recover for you.

Even though such a catastrophic simultaneous failure was really unforseeable, we want to apologize to all the readers, forum members, and especially our incredible hosted sites for the downtime. All the same we are escalating our disaster preparedness and going forward our host has agreed to make backups independant of our server farm. It's highly unlikely for multiple drives to fail simultaneously even once - let alone twice, but this

This really f-ing sucks. There was so many golden threads in that time span. Damn it WHYYYYYYY!!!!!!!
Oh well. What is will be and we must accept.

It's such a shame though.

Fear not BuF will be back up soon.
