Vent thread
Well, I just needed to vent a little. My primary hard drive started to fail and then it was not able to boot up anymore. So I had to replace it. My old primary hard drive was only 160 gig, the new one is now 250 gig. I have a secondary hard drive that is 400 gig. So I have space.
Anyways, what I wanted to vent some was that once you install your primary hard drive, you need to work out all the bugs again. Just when you feel that you are "at home" with your computer somethings breaks and then you need to try to fix it back to the way you had it before.
Hopefully you remember how to fix the errors and tweak the system the way you wanted it fine tuned. Oh well. Sorry for the poor excuse of a thread. Computers can be very helpful but they can be pain in the ........ ya that place.
What do you want to vent about?

Are you going to pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?

Good
Good thread actually. This is a great reminder to everyone here that when it comes to hard drives failing, it is not whether it will or not but rather when. All hard drives fail. All of them. Back up what you have to have and give your old hard drive to a friend who knows computers well to recover data from the old hard drive. Usually, (95%) I can recover the old info from peoples broken hard drives.

Hard drive
Well, what do I do with a bad hard drive or two? Reformat them, put a heavy magnet on them to erase information?
Well, since I knew at least of of these were bad enough that they could not be booted up, I was going to dismantle them, but I did not have the proper star head to take them apart. So I did what I could with a drill, an ax, and a hammer. Now I could have done more, but, hopefully I am some what safe.

Anyway, I feel I am pretty safe in this small town. Most people here barely knows how to start up there computer. Just wanted to share.

I hate when it's so cold that it's going to snow but it actually doesn't snow so you're forced to go to college/work/everything elseThe Supreme One wrote:i want to vent about the bloody cold weather that i have to ride through every damn morning and the cold air in my lungs feels like molten needles of pain
You should sue them for eternal-out-of-order elevatorThe Supreme One wrote:then wen i eventually arrive at college ive gotta get up 6 flights of stairs to my class.

Great Venting Song
Here is one of my favorite venting songs. It is sung by Dennis Leary. It is very catchy. Come on everybody sing......http://www.mediafire.com/?injdjb4clz3

Re: Vent thread
Ok, I was going to start another thread but I figured that this is a good place to speak.
My family and I try to live on a budget, single income family income and all. But sometimes you need to get some of the finer things.....like what you say?
As example
We buy the cheapest toilet paper in the store (Walmart). This brand is titled Angel Soft. If you use "Angel Soft" you know it is not really that soft. So the question I ask myself is if this is Angel Soft then what does Hard as Hell feels like? Do I hear an Amen?

Re: Vent thread
Oh I had such a good answer to your "Hard as Hell" question but this is basically a family oriented forum so I held back. Dang!
