OK, been working on things and found a problem. The scuba gear IS coded correctly but at times it misinterprets information from a map. In short sometimes mappers use something called "zoneinfo" to set certain areas to different gravity, friction, etc. The scuba checks zoneinfo and looks for "water" and if its true you hear the scuba breath sound. Now a mapper could set zoneinfo to water and you still wouldnt "see" water but the scuba sees it that way. A good example is birdbrainsresearch. The main room has zoneinfo to make the floor a little slippy, but if you grab the scuba it immediately starts to work. It's confused over what it really water. (I hope this makes sense)
Anyhow to fix it I see 2 options: 1. leave it alone, 2. change the breath sound to once when you jump in water and add a HUD timer so you know when it's running low.
I dont mean to complain, BUT....

I use the name {MHM}-HellFire- now already for some time so that's one issue less*POTS* wrote: Ah yes that annoying bug... I use the ViewPlayer console command, unfortunately is not easy to write names like HellFire and others with all those weird characters.![]()

I like the second option: I've already seen a ScubaGear timer added in my HUD on a server.ScottyD wrote:OK, been working on things and found a problem. The scuba gear IS coded correctly but at times it misinterprets information from a map. [...]

It's still an issue instead: I hope you know that I have to press BlockNum+Alt+123 in order to write the "{" character, and that special characters doesn't work in UT.-HellFire- wrote: I use the name {MHM}-HellFire- now already for some time so that's one issue less

Yep. I was telling -HellFire- to just go with HellFire. I hate special characters in names. They mess up everything and seem sad to me for some reason too. I view tattoos the same way. I always feel bad for people that have them. I don't judge though I don't think. My wife has 5 or 6 tattoos. She pierced her eyebrow a week before we got married. I pry-ed the pierce jewelry out with pliers. She never pierced anything or tattooed anything again. True story!

OK got a little pop up timer that shows whenever you have the scuba:

Once the timer hits 25 it turns red to let you know you need to refill or get to the surface. I think we will be ready for some beta testing this weekend on my home server. Anyone want to test it with me when I get there?

Keep the points loss!
People intelligent enough to not kill them should be rewarded by no problems, but people who are stupid or trigger happy or evil need to be PUNISHED
Watching noobs slaughter innocents and lose score is so funny.
OK, it may be annoying when you have no other choice, such as in BirdBrainedResearch or some of the AFO maps, but the vast majority of the time they are simply added features.
In unreal 1 theres a mod which instantly kills anyone who slays innocents, I always loved that mod, I'll admit that those rare situations where you have to kill innocents make that mod not good for MH, but still, keep the loss...
If people want to brainlessly shoot everything they see, then they deserve whatever they get
