Weird Skin

The player named ~_~ (try talking to him/her in a game with those characters),
Seems almost invisible.
Does anyone else see her/him like this?
They never talk and perhaps don't speak English.

There are a number of invisible skin hacks floating around. I wouldn't say anything, let someone else confirm it if you can to rule out a video render issue (which is very unlikely), then ban their asses from the ip harvested out of the logs. Invisi-skins are the very worst of cheaters. It's one thing to garner intelligence via an aimbot or radar, but those guys are actively duping other players.

Herm if you have the logs of this guy, I'll show you what to look for.

Dawn's Monument at MEATS. There have been a lot of player at ol' MEAT's.
I'm using direct 3d support from my GeForce 9500 everything else looks good.
This player is fairly regular and plays all the deemer sites.
She/he usually wins a lot of matches.
This skin is a recent change, I wouldn't want to see someone banned without a thorough talking to, first.

Klownz has this problem with a <SRA> le polo or something like that . . . Can only see the players armor on one shoulder
but other players said they could see the player so it's something in Klownz set up . . .

Ban his ass, or warn him sternly. He knows exactly what he is doing. Here is his "skin":

I outlined it in white where you would see red, but every single pixel on there you see that is black will render totally invisible in game. Probably 20% of him will be visible, and that will be faded at the edges and look nothing like a player. This is designed as an alpha texture which allows it to show a blood splatter but not occlude things behind it and ruin the effect.

Man I hate players that cheat like that. One of the things I truely dislike about VA. There should be a default list of unallowed textures, with this one at the very top.

I've seen this player, through turbocheck, on CG quite abit and a few times on my server.
I'm not opposed to banning...actually I like it. But I'd like to see this "invisible skin" first hand.
The players name or IP don't look familiar but it could be an old skooler coming back for revenge...lol
I did hear that Hermskii was guiding some missiles as of late...or was that Chuck Norris polishing his rocket?

If you look closely youll see the skin repeated 8 times across that rectangle area, but see how much is "alpha" and is invisible? I'm not trying to tell you how to run your server MEAT or treat your people, I just want you to be informed of exactly what he was doing and why.

Didn't you was able to use skincodes in a redeem server..
There are more skincodes that are almost invisible so he/she may will use another one..

In only DM-CTF servers these custom skins are not allowed at all.

The question here should not be if this is or not cheating; because clearly it is. The question here should be what are you planning to do with this cheater.

I'll let Hermskii make the first move.
I did however play, for a min, with the accused just to check out the skin.
The skin is different and the player does have map knowledge/skills.
So this person is either a regular or someone from the past.
I also mentioned "cheater skin?" and the player left in a hurry.
The other players playing were also curious about the skin...

It's pretty easy to make a totally invisible skin using this method too. People catch on to that pretty fast though. With this little bit visible there is just enough "WTF?" with it to get by on most servers.

I hope you don't feel like I am painting you into a corner on this. You do what you feel is right, it's your server. I just want anyone who googles along to see the why and what of this.

left both times before Klownz could. It was on Hermskiis server but never fear.
Klownz has taken a shower and feels clean again . . . .
