Time Killer

Well, I was stuck in a traffic in the middle of no where for about 2.5 hours, due to a wind storm and an accident. So I had my digital camera and was goofing around with the settings. This is some of what I got.



I am just goofing with the camera. I know if I want the great pictures with a slow shutter speed, you need a steady hand or the better option is a tripod, but.. again I am just playing.

Awesome I think. Keep playing with it and keep posting. Me, I like the super close ups of small things like the faces of bugs or newly formed buds of small flowers. Drips of water hanging off a leave where you can still the background through it. Stuff like that is cool to me.

There used to be a guy in AGUT whose hobby was ultra-close ups. His name was Mr K, I'll have to see if his stuff is still linked somewhere in the old archives. He has some spider-web shots and ants on flowers that was simply stunning.

those are some awesome pics david. My friend has a camera on his phone that allows him to negate the surrounding light, and focus only on the light source itself. Gets sort of the same effects as your second picture there. We mess around with it all the time during class.
