Actually Fuzz it plays very well. It's faster paced than deemer, though self-killing is still an issue that needs addressed some. It's more like rocket arena on steroids than deemer arena reduced, if that makes sense. I wish you could play some to see it.

It's like normal arena, only with more campers.

Because your weapons are so much worse in a fight, yet retain their guiding powers, it is substantially easer to kill people with guiding than in a real fight, with your much smaller blast radius you cant destroy incoming guided missles nearly as well, and it also means that a camper basically has to sidestep to survive incoming fire coming from the ground.

If your arrow keys had a recharge time you could still be a fearsome adversary

But with the alt radar you can't hide as a camper. I consistently see people get killed by a camper, then I watch them hunt down the camper on foot. You just can't stay very long in one spot no matter the map.

In addition, my desktop doesn't have a wireless connection so it's a Charlie Foxtrot for me at the moment.

So hide n guide should be done for short cruises around corners or into warehouses.
Yes you will be sought out if you are too scared to come out and fight.
Get near the hider and transloc a little closer each time he/she guides one out for a Sunday cruise. I always had fun telefragging Silent /3ob when he relied on the hide n guide!

I'd like to give it a try when I can.

Oh and a couple more things: will this radar thing show up on other sites that check for cheats?

Fuzz, I just had to harass a fellow desert dweller.

I have played on the temp server on the deemer maps a couple times and their were some games that I held my own. Of course there are other times I was owned.

Been too many years since I played on some of these maps that were sniper maps. I used to be decent on the sniper games, I could easily hold my own on the camping sniper games. Anyways...

If you do get a chance to play, hopefully you can cross my sights.

Of course, I do lean on the Monter Hunt maps more than the others.

I am in the north east part of Arizona. I moved away from the valley over a decade ago. I had to pull myself out before I did something stupid with some of the stupid drivers and Snow Birds.

No the redeemer "radar" is actually native code that the redeemer uses anyway. You know how it can see someone as a reddish thing with numbers as you alt-glide? I took that code and made it so the crosshairs will show even if something (a wall) is in the way. Basically the guided shell does a check for "visible actors" in a radius around it and I changed that check to "All actors" within a somewhat larger area. Also I cleaned up the display so you can read the distance-to-target much easier. I might change it to be (Playersname, distance) so you can be selective about whom you hunt down

In my version I won't have the full time radar bleeps on. They'll work the way the deemer works now. Somebody said it right when they realized that camping isn't going to work too well here since your right, if you spawn and step in any direction the blast likely won't kill you. THUS I DOUBT I'LL USE SPAWN PROTECTION MEAT BUT NOTICE I SAID DOUBT"

This gametype will require far more shooting skills than at CG since a shot in the corner no longer destroys EVERYTHING in the corner. In fact it can't even damge a whole corner of a corner. See! See! It's "wicked sick" mannnnnnn! Freakin AWESOME dude!
