Schwantz's Redeemer Arena {SRA} Sneak Peek by Hook...

What will the "New" SRA be like when it is fired up?
Hopefully - just like the Old SRA!!!

You have probably heard by now that Hook (me) and HUTP are planning another UT99 Server debut.
It will be called: Schwantz's Redeemer Arena {SRA} by CROSSBONES
You could say that this will be a "Resurrection" of the "old" SRA server from the "Golden Era" of UT99.
We will most likely run the New SRA on a Specific day or days of the week.
This schedule would alternate with CROSSBONES MISSILE MADNESS {CMM}'s schedule.
We will of course announce the schedule for all to know so you will be able to come and experience Old Skool Redeemer Arena for yourself.
Hopefully it will be like the old days of SRA!

The New SRA will be as close as we can get it to the Old SRA.
Hermskii and myself put our heads together on this and came up with as best we can remember the specifications that went into the old SRA.
We will be duplicating the old SRA very closely in the New SRA.
The New SRA will be like the Old SRA in that it will be a Pure, Original Redeemer Arena server with NO OTHER WEAPONS.
It will have Stock Maps with a few of the Old Custom Maps sprinkled in such as a number of the "Deck" maps.
NO Translocator - this was NOT in the original SRA either.
NO MapVote! - you take the maps as they come as in the Old SRA.
NO Spawn Protection! - Loop-Of-Poop can happen here folks! LOL
Regular Gravity and Game Speed!
There will only be from 8 to 10 player slots.

Timeline on SRA's launching?...
I just need a bit more time to set up the maps - I am searching for some of the old ones from SRA.

I don't recall them being topless but I certainly recall the roller-skating bots in dresses. I don't recall limited ammo either. I ran a deemer once where you only had 2 shots then had to reload. maybe you are thinking of it.

ONE - See above - Still on Back burner because of Number TWO!
TWO - Hook's UT Place just upgraded to version 3 of phpBB - phpBB3.
Soooo, lots of things to redo at HUTP. - Take a look if you want but it ain't pretty - YET!

And YES the bots on roller skates WERE topless. And dressed in the old uniforms of Dairy Queen, A&W, and the like.

Schwantz also had a limited ammo mod for a while there. 25 shots, then you had to run to an ammo pack and reload if you were dumb enough to allow yourself to run out of ammo. On the spam maps it didn't matter much, but on the deck maps it made you a sitting/running duck, as you couldn't fire off a few defensive missiles.
