bots really need to go, they are nothing but an anoyance specially on deemer they just spray the map up

I've been using them to test the bot AI so I can tweak it. They are stupid about the redeemer blast radius and defending with it.

I say keep some bots.
Make them mean, alert and agressive, like KK's spiders.
We wouldn't want players to freely tour the maps when noone else is on.

I've been tweaking a bit in the bot AI. I'm trying to make them recognize an incoming redeemer and defend against it. They just keep blowing themselves up though. I can't get them to use a buffer zone.

You are going to get bots to defend against in coming deemers? Why not just get them to translocate away instead?

Because a REAL redeemer server doesn't use the trans
Actually I'm going to work on that too but getting a bot to trans away out in the open is really hard.
Also the testserver may see some problems over the next day or two for you guys. If you see me in there and you try to join and it denies sending the Mayhem mod, its because I'm working on fixing the drop weapons hud bug. I got it whipped now but I want to fully test it before I release the mod. It wont run full time on the server until its finished but I want to test it online a bunch first. You are still free to try the server if you want. If I need it, you'll know im busy.

I know this seems a bit trivial, but I'm really stoked about getting it fixed. It's been something I've worked on now and then for quite a while. {WINGS}xXx gave me a good nudge on how to fix it and now I got it sorted out (yay).
Yell at me if you get around and test it once. I want to make sure replication is correct for everyone so far.

Yeah mine has a translocator in it so I guess it isn't a real Redeemer Server after all.

OK guys let me drop a general update here....
In a short while the test server may become completely locked down and passworded for periods of time. We are making nice headway with invasion and its nearly at an alpha test stage. Probably within a week it will be close enough to start replication testing online to make sure things are good. We have another server to test with but I might also swap out on mine to run it too if there are problems that become in-depth. Once the basic coding is done, it will be time to start designing the storyboard and doing the fluffy stuff.
I know we had talked about themes and I'd like some input on this from you. I would like some ideas about a general mood for the mod. It will be invasion, but it's not going to be called that.
Here's some examples: Are we intergalactic soldiers fighting to clear an area, are we interplanetary hunters looking for prey, mercenaries wanting to fight anything, an earth defense force fighting invading armies? Stuff like that. Remember though it has to be a bit generic to accommodate the 20 or so odd maps it will release with.
Once the theme is decided, I'll start making custom pickups, sounds, announcer etc. to fit the general style of the mod. Also it will impact customized monsters that are going to be included in it too (Think GeneralSkaarj if the monsters are an invading army).
Your ideas and thoughts are very welcome on this, so please share. If you want, use the pm or email me if you have a private idea, no matter how odd it may seem. I'll warn ahead of time too if the server will be used, but its at least a week away, and probably longer. Thanks all!!
