Actually, I thought it was very well done and a good movie.
Very good moral ending!

It starts kinda slow and drawn out but gets a lot better!

I agree that it started out s....l.......o.......w.......
Moral ending...... well maybe that is why I did not pick up on it. I watch movies for the time killer effect and action. My wife stated that this movie "District 9" (I mis-spelled before) reminded her of Cloverfield by the way (point of view) in which it was filmed.

I guess I was looking for more of a thoughtless, action, fighting type of film.

I thought it was one of the best movies I've ever seen, Sci-Fi or otherwise. Opinions...go figure.....

I think it was a great film, a new take on sci-fi and it shows exactly what us stupid humans would do in such a situation.

Well I guess I am in the minority here. Which is fine and like/enjoy the feedback of others. I did catch the whole "racial issue" but in this movie it was because they were not from the planet. But again, I watch movies mostly for entertainment value not for learning values. If I wanted to know about our "humanity" or lack there of I would watch or read the news. For my job, I get to see "humanity". That is why I enjoy action movies, comedies, and once a while a chick flick with the wife. But I would prefer Lethal Weapon, The Transporter, or Serenity to "The District".

Thanks again for the feedback. I am glad that people did find good value in District 9. Hopefully District 10 will meet to your satisfaction as well.

If you like Sci-fi, here's a TERRIBLE Sci-fi movie...
The Day the Earth Stood Still. Keanu Reaves may be in it, but the movie blows... SOOOOOOOO BORIIIIIIIIIIIING!!! :|

Well... It's because I haven't seen it yet, so if I did I probably would have.

I did not take it personally and the jab about "Booger" was made in fun as your comment.

You are right Herm.

If this forum was made of "Nerds" then I would think, from my observations of Meat's posts, he would be Booger. He is not the typical nerd and if you saw the 80's flick then you know what I mean. Maybe I am wrong about my observations,....maybe I am not.

But since Meat mentioned the Avatar movie, I am sure someone will make a post. It will not be I. I find no desire to watch it. I will leave that movie to the younger generation.
