Things we learned from our spouse

Well this could turn up fruitful or could be dead in the water. But hey, why not try.

The question is what did you learn from your spouse? The answer(s) can be of great profoundness or it could small. Just share.

I will start out. An item I learned from my wife is that you roll an orange or "massage" an orange before you try to peel it and the orange skin will come off easier. (I can see a reference being made of that last comment in relating women but I wont say it ) That is small, unless you live on oranges. I was never taught this in my youth. I just peeled the darn oranges.

I learned that if you use the cake mix itself that comes in the cake mix packet to coat the pan before baking, you won't get those un-sightly white flour deposites on the sides of your cake.

Actually, my wife didn't teach me that but she should have and no, Hermskii does not bake. He kills.
