Anyone got Play station 3 with Unreal Tournament 3 AKA 2007?

firstly the slim ps3 is suposed to be not so good compared to the 40gb and the 80gb. thats probally why he is probally selling his so cheap.

secondly your probally comparing the ps3 game to pc. i hardly ever get lag on my ps3 on MW2 or any other ps3 game i play but thats probally cos i upgraded my router. then again a mate of mine reacently go one of those free cheap belkin routers and we connected 2 ps3s on differant games and got no lag on MW2 (dont know about pro i wasnt in that room at the time). plus over the 8 months ive had my ps3 if you are always getting lag sell it or upgrade your router ps3s are almost pointless without being able to go online your better off getting a 360 if you cant go online (unless its just single player you play then it dont really matter but would still go with 360 offline)

How did u work out the newer slim model with a larger hard drive quieter fan and less energy consuming to not be as good as the original PS3?

The reason its cheap is because its a back of a lorry job but lets not get into that lol.

As for lag on MW2, MW2 works on a user hosting system it selects a players console at random to be the server for that match, and sometimes that players connection will suck and therefore the match will lag as u will see when a player leaves whos the host it will then freeze the match pick a new host and resume. Anyway MW2 was great at 1st but now its boring, we all had it since midnight launch.

As for 360 being better for offline thats not really logical considering the 360's primary drive to success is its Xbox live and having the cross game voice chat ability thats not found on the ps3 (dont need to be in the same game to chat with more than 2 people)

firrstly hard drive space has nothing to do with it the beauty of the ps3 is you can change it as easy as pie. i worked it out with loading times. the slimline ps3 is slower to load from the start taking around 1 minute to start up compared to the 25 seconds of the 80 gb. i will also warn you if its a back of a lorry job becarefull with going online. sony can shut down your account and even sue for stolen goods. and for the lag thing like i said that could be because i upgraded my router i just didnt see how my mate had hardly any either when we setup both our ps3 to his router. my first thought is that even doe it is wireless he never got the code to it so it was set-up via cable. i would also reccomend getting an external hard drive which if set-up correctly (pm me if you need instructions ive done it to my 300GB and my 1TB) instead of using streaming.
as for the chat thing it can be done on the ps3 cos i message people and even chat to other people either in other games or no games all the time (until the move). oh and the lag thing if it laggs to much (not sure about 360) the game will change the host of the match finding the best suitable match. hopefully that idea will also be put into mag aswell.

Hmm i aint heard of the PS3 phat being faster in loading than the slim.
Ive researched about ps3 being found out to be stolen for going online and aparently the only way they can find out is if its stolen from someone, they report it then u go online with their PSN ID.

As for the cross game chat thing, your thinking of private chats and stuff. Im on about the party chat system. its like a chat room with upto 8 of ur friends that can all chat together no matter what each one of them are doing on the xbox.

PS3 are supposibly getting this feature but its rumoured they are gonna charge for it.

if the rumour is true than i doupt sony will charge for it considering their not microsoft they dont charge for everything sony does for playstation. as for the stolen issue there has been a few people saying they can still find out but likely hood of getting cought was very low (dont know how low). as for the slim issue a mate has had his since they came out the main differance people may have not mentioned about it is the cooling on it is almost half as bad as the 360. the slim dont like long sessions of gaming and is supposed to be cooled down and all we need to do is look at playstation history, ps1 better than the newer model p21, ps2 better then slimline ps2 and finally ps3 longer gameing hours, quicker loading and basically better than the slim.
ps private chats u can have more than 2 people (not sure how many never saw the point of talking to people on a differant game) in and dont need to keep disconnecting from the game to go into.

well its £150 so i dont really care if it has minor flaws.
Probly wont get it anyway 360 is more than enough in terms of quality games and media and i would probly miss the party chat feature as im usually chattin with around 4 people on the xbox. plus theres only 2 games im interested in on PS3 them being MGS4 and WipeOut HD, but we'll see i guess

MGS4 online is poor and it is also mainly movies. its kinda like a f*****g awesome interactive movie. plus if you havent played metal gear 1, 2 and 3 you wont understand the whole story and will probally go all COD on it when it is a totally differant ball game. MGS4 is basically the answers to MGS 1, 2 and 3 and what every BIG MG fan has been waiting for. plus it has some other sick bits in it as well. it was fun completing in MG style but mix it up here and there for drebbing points and try not to get seen. sick bosses and other stuff (Metal Gear Rex Vs Metal Gear Ray, CQC Snake Vs Liquid Ocelot, etc). Good game should definatly get if you like MGS.

PS. also got Unreal Tournament 3 for the PS3 today if anyone wants to give it a try still.
