Last night only some players on ALL the servers early, then no one! And on Friday Night!?!?
I played on {CLD} for an hour or so with 2 other strangers that came in, then I went to {CMM} and one guy (who will remain silent) played for another hour or so with me, until 2:00 am CST, my time.

And, this morning now, I only see Gopo has been here?
Everybody else still in bed? WOW

I was thinking of joining you last night but I think your alias using friend would have ran off?
Either that or I'd make him cry...then I'd end up getting a nasty gram...

UT is in a bad dip right now, players-wise. I'm seeing maybe a 30% drop in total MH players, and the decline continues. This might be the summer that we remember as the last decent one for UT.

Not to mention the dU server is having half the players it used to have...

I also blame WinVista/Win7 and those "non-UT-friendly" new OS and hardwares.
People get sick of tweaking stuff to make it work and just dump it.

P.S. Even Ice clones are dying.

Well - I take that back a bit.
We had Lots of players on CMM today for several hours and again tonight but not as many as during the day.
Most I've seen on CMM for a few weeks, or more.

But, we usually do see a dip in the summer - especially when the weather starts getting nice.
Not unusual really.

And, I was actually asking about US Regular Players - not Other players.
Where are all of Our players?

Are we all doing our best to ensure that our friends all have legit copies of UT and have been trained enough to have the "thirst" set in?

I'm considering posting a link to back up copy of UT. It could serve in the event any of you have a disk that gets cracked or has too many scrathes on it from the decade of abuse it has sustatined can copy the files you're missing.

Be very careful with that Herm. Epic will still bring hellfire on anyone posting something that can be made into a game. I've already had one inquiry to my "full MH downloads" and I had to remove a couple of system files that were zipped into it.

Yeah, you can still DL the Demo and apply the patches to make it FULL Version - the Demo is all over the web.

Let's just say that it probably helped that I could respond back with numerous postings of mine from around the UT-verse that were positive of UT for many years and that I had been active for a very long time. Otherwise I might have been in a sling. What I did was truly an honest mistake, I just didn't think. I've spent so much time working with UT stuff that I felt a certain "ownership" so the hey-this-might-violate-the-tos voice wasn't loud enough.

Just so you guys know, this was the time when I took everything down a while back. I had to be sure I was legit.

Love the company, but DO NOT rouse the legal department. Trust me.

Hey! Chef is still cookin ,but as for gaming , well I have given ut99 and ut3 the heave ho.....Ut99 just not enough servers left to make it worth while and as for ut3 , it was stillborn at the gate. I still have Ut2004 and play QL in a clan mostly playing insta CTF which Im krazy about atm

it was looking dead when I reloaded the game .....dead .... like Dodge
