Switching from metal to country is kind of a big step, Herm. I doubt I will switch over because of what I play my drums, guitar and bass guitar to and listen to all the time, but then again, change exists. It's very possible, but for the moment with my insignificant teenage mind I fully disagree.

Hermskii: I agree on the country music my friend, my wife will only listen to that and the only reason i ahve gone to a Kenney, Rascal Flatts concert was because of a female lol but it has grown on me and it does have a lot of stories,

Prowner: oldies is good and the whole ICP thing was hilarious, I didn't even know they still made music in fact u were probably about 6 when they were even getting started and heard of lol, im sure they haven't made anything in over 10 years, and yes they are terrible which is why Eminem Makes fun of them and beat them up one time lol.

Funny thing is much of all that was shown is still here and I just moved from Blackhawk street which was just 2 blocks down the road from good old Telephone Road A.K.A. I-35.

I have no idea who these guys are, and only read the thread because of the mini tempest brewing about this group of "musicians".

I admit I am clueless as to who most new artists are, and am completely unfamiliar with their work. I used to listen to classic rock, but over the last few years have gradually switched to classical, and I think I'm staying with that forever.

I don't do facebook. I don't twitter. I don't have an ipod or a blackberry. I refuse to read a book on a kindle or ipad. I'm not renewing the contract on my aging cell phone and I'm not getting another. When my Thunderbird email program self destructed after it last automatically updated itself, I got so annoyed with its refusal to allow itself to be repaired that I seriously considered disconnecting my modem and going offline for good.

In short I am becoming a total Luddite, and I love it. It feels hip to be so square.

Well, I understand to a point. I do have a cell phone as do my wife, but we use it for a phone; no texting, no internet, no pictures. There are times I would like to to drop my computers onto a freeway and watch the big rigs fix the computer errors. But I do find some the modern abilities nice and make life somewhat easier in some ways. To pay bills, view accounts, communicate with family and friends, to send pictures/audio files/movie files of grandkids to their grandparents. But I do not do Facebook, twitter, and etc..... It is funny because at work I am tech savvy, but I do not like to swim in the pool of tech/current trends such as the multi use phones and all. I like to keep things simple.
