Nali Leaves UT :(

Post by -SuPreMe- » Tue Feb 08, 2011 12:08 am

Ive been coming to this forum for wat has to be a good 5 years now and think its time for me to quit the UT scene, i already have really but now its kinda official. I remember when i 1st started playing at MHM it was Me, Bigboss, Matrix, POTS, and others who are long gone. Then came Hellfire, BIOMECH, Reiyel, EA, Supa etc. All these people i must have spent a good 100+ hours with just chattin away boosting up to high places, standing around never progressing through the map, rushing through hordes of monsters in an epic manner and just all out fun. Those boring nights where i would be on my own at home i would hop onto MHM see it full of familar names and i would instantly get a smile on my face and say "hell yeah they're online". Then we would all spend the rest of the night playing until we all eventually started dropping like flies from tiredness. Now without these people and without this forum i would of stopped playing UT a LONGGGG time ago. Now sadly most of these people have vanished which leaves me no real reason to play, it was the personality of the people the laughs and the friendship that kept me here.

So on my departure i'd like to thank all the people ive had fun with, they kno who they are and ofcorse i'd like to thank Herm because without him ever creating this forum or without him ever creating MHM i would of never met all these people and would of never participated in hours apon hours of silly UT FUN :P

Anyway im not gonna ask anyone to delete my account or anything silly like that cos i might still return and post a comment here and there if im bored.

Later peeps, LONG LIVE UT99!

Well people come and people go.... Im one of the ones thats just been getting a chance to know you all and youre all leaving now. Sorry to see you have to go SupreMe. I only got a chance to play you once or twice. It sucks knowing that I probably missed the golden days of UT MH and this forum. The developers have left and now the players it seems.

Oh well, Ill do my best to Keep MH alive, even if I have to learn how to code myself.

Take Care Supreme

I understand where you are coming from Supreme. I too enjoy it when I see familiar faces online playing the game. I enjoy the company more than the game sometimes.

And yes, some of those who I enjoyed and respected have became less active or have moved on. But new people do come. Trust me, I feel where you are coming from. There are other good folks out there and some you will mix with well with and some you will not. That is life.

I wish you well and you know Herm will keep the door open for you. Take care.

Firstly, I want to thank you for a "Class Act" departure. I wish everyone would do it your way when they decide to go in new directions. Just the fact that you posted about leaving thus giving everybody a good chance to say goodbye is admirable. Thank you for that!

You made a lot of friends here and had a lot to say with over 750+ posts I think. You were one of the first to get here too and contributed often to this community. Maybe your interest here wasn't so much kept alive by the people you met but also you kept it alive by having something to say and thus keeping others interested.

I know others have left in the past and the few that did stop in on their way out often mentioned the great times they had with their particular group of players and you seemed to always be mentioned. Evidence of the part you played here and on the servers. A chair will always be available for you at our table here and I hope nothing but the best for you in all you do going forward. Please do make sure to pop in from time to time to see how the remaining folks here are doing and maybe get to know some noobs. Thank you for everything over the years! Peace!

PSSHHHHHH
You mean the man who taught me everything i know about monsterhunt is leaving?
The man who taught me how to do the Andromeda bunnytracks?

I hear you man, those days where it was me, matrix, you, J-man, Reggy, Pots, that one chick who wanted to date you (cant remember that name, janel? something like that lol), and my brother playing are LONGGG gone.
I will admit one of the reasons i only play bunnytracks now is because monsterhunt has changed so much in the past five or so years ive been playing it, and all of the familiar faces have vanished, but i hopped on pots server the other day and had a blast with like seven or eight people, most i didnt know.
Anyways, enjoy your leave, but YOU'LL BE BACK, youve been playing this game too long to leave it now. I don't see myself leaving it in the near future, so if you ever get that feeling of messing around on a mh server, well you have my msn and facebook.
The Supreme Nali
The Supreme One
Supreme
The name may change, and you may come and go, but youre always {MHM}!
Good luck!!!!
BoSs is in the HOUSE!

Hmm...This leaves me as the only Nali-related skilled player in MH.

Best of luck with Borderlands of Call of Duty or UT3 or Life or...Whatever it is you've moved onto :)

Don't get lonely cow. Moo!

{MHM} has not changed which may be it's undoing and the other servers have changed which may be their undoing. Maybe we are all doomed but I think {MHM will stay around and be played by many for a very very long time. New maps will be coming and the only thing that makes people join is other people being there already mostly I think. I'm sure POTS runs a fine server and is very popular. Go to it and play there and meet knew folks but know when it is gone and it will be before {MHM}, that {MHM} is still sitting here. Waiting for YOU!

Here is a consideration; many of the peeps that have come and gone are all young with a short attention span. I'll use my nephew Matrix as a prime example. He came in. He played awesomely and mde plenty of friends and then moved on to play WOW. He sold those character accounts and moved on to his first car and dating. I'm not mad at him. It is what I would do. This is the way of the world and life as we know it.

If the older crowd gets hooked, they are more likely to stay for longer periods but eventually even they move on sometimes. It's all good people. These {HOH} servers will always be played through sheer attrition. All of the rest of the servers will shut down one by one and these will remain and players will comem both new and old. It is my final plan. I need to put it into my will to make sure the servers and this forum stay up! Hmmmmmmmm? Who to hand off to someday???

Hello everyone, and especially nali.

It's been a long time; I'm not sure where to begin. When I look at the slew of new boards my uncle has added and the host of topics and uncountable amount of posts to read over, it is little to say that I am overwhelmed. That is much the reason that in the event that I sit down and decide to log in to the forum, it is unlikely that I will comment on any new posts. Despite my laziness Hermskii has informed me of Nali's departure and I immediately set aside the numerous tasks I had at hand.

Nali, what can I say? In the days that we enjoyed MHM I had a great respect for you. You taught me BT; you taught me how to unlock all the powerups in Andromeda and to translocate my way to the instagib. I was one of the best jumpers in our community thanks to you. I vividly remember the hours we spent boosting noobs too the ground on the hebereke maps. It was not the game that drew me to UT and the forum, it was the people and my experiences with them. You, bigboss, bio, Jman, ice, all the newer generation players(any players I've failed to mention, I apologize to, please forgive me as I have forgotten those that have gone before me). I feel as though those times were the high points of MHM. I remember logging on like nali mentioned, and seeing a list of familiar names online and being more than excited to join.

Merely typing this message is bringing back feelings of nostalgia and making want to return to those days. Those were the days when I was a young punk with no vehicle and no where to be even if I had one. Then I grew up, found a job, got a car, picked up a girl, and all that attention that I gave to UT and MHM and all you guys who were and still are my friends was distributed to other interests. My newfound ability to leave the house is what took me away from you guys. The people in my life whom I could see and touch became not more important, but more accessible and thus more significant.

It is the cycle that we all know of. Either we were or are, a part of it, and are gone from UT, or have known people or had friends who were lost to it. Those that fall to it cannot be put to blame. When things become real in ones life, reorganization comes shortly thereafter. Sometimes those who leave, come back, for a short time or long, and sometimes they don't. It is the way the world turns.

Nali, it's been real, and it's been fun. I give you my farewell, thanks, and hope. When you leave for good, wherever you go and whatever you do, I wish you success and prosperity. I do ask that you do a better job than me, and poke in every blue moon and say Hi. And also to actually go check the responses; you will be surprise who is still around and glad to know you still exist.

I am seventeen now, I have a vehicle, a job, I spend my time at school and anytime available after that with friends. Though I am within arms reach of my PC for at least 2 hours each day, I must guiltily admit that I fail to so much as think about the forum. This message and the memories it revives motivates me to install a shortcut to the forum on my desktop. I hope to be able to poke in and give my two cents here and there and make new friends and reminisce with the old.

Farewell Nali, it was real.
