Hey folks, Igot in and jammed a little bit with Helen on his DM server and had a great time. I have been trying to join in and play there around 9:00 PM Central Time. I expect to again this weekend. Saturday may be trouble since my wife wants to go on a date. We'll have to see what happens there but there is no reason for the rest of you not to get it and get hammered by Helen.

I hope to see many of you there at some point. Thanks!

Just a note...
I will be Out of Town Friday night (tonight 5/20) until sometime later Saturday afternoon.
(Moving my son back into our home from College in another city.)
So I will miss playing on Friday night.
I should be Playing on the Servers Saturday night (5/21) though for sure!

I just want to thank you Herm for the games last night. I went back and did a tally - we played 8 full maps! (also Greylox joined us for a few).

But I appreciate you playing Herm, especially since you play rarely. You said you were going to get into the top 10 on the list, and you followed through. Like I was saying, I hope all that practice transates into some surprise wins for you.

LOL! I had so much fun last night! Thank you! At first I was like OMG! Helen turned up the bots on me so I can't make the top 10! They were kicking me badly when I first joined. I hadn't played since the last time I had played with you so it was rust and just me trying too hard I think too. I finally settled down and got into my groove.

Yesssss! I made the top 10 list last night. Now I have to set the goal higher. Perhaps top 5? Greylox was wonderful to play with too. He is a good sport for sure. I love it when people LOL after you killed them which reminds me of how much fun I had against you last night. To me, you own me one on one for sure. I can hardly see you because you dodge all over the place so fast. You're a better shot too. You were owning me with that damn shock rifle mega blast thing you do. You brought out that damn hammer too and hammered me several times. The funniest was when you'd time me coming out of a corner and would drop a grenade right in my face time and time again. You knew I was too bull headed to try to go another way and you just wait and frag me. Their were 2 highlights last night for me. Once when I came out of the little room with the deemer which I fired at you and you shot it out of the sky with your rifle and then blew my head off with it on the next shot. I thought damnnnnnnn! LOL. Then Greylox one time was unning from me and I was chasing him forever. He finally came around a corner, stopped, turned around, change weapon to a flak cannon and just waited. I came running around just as he knew I would and ran right into him. He looked at me for what seemed like forever then he blew me to bits! Another time he got me with that green laser gun and I didn't respawn but just watched as he kept the laser on me as my player just stood there taking it. I finally crumpled down to the ground and kept it up until I blew into pieces! It was awesome! Thank you so much! Your funny remarks in game crack me up too.

You are right, I don't and haven't really played anywhere in years. I may only have a little more time on HOOK's server than yours at this point. I'm also liking winning rounds every once in a while. In the deemer world I'm so rusty I can't win at all at this point. I have to stop smoking while I play too. It is hard to stop and flick my ashes with your psycho bots all around. I hate the slime too. I kept falling into it on that one map you spectated me on. I was all kinds of mad but manage to pull out a win at the end. I'm sure you noticed my go forward constantly approach. If I stopped, it was me putting out a cig or ashing it. Yeah, I have to stop smoking while playing. Aye, there were some good moments. There were many 'lol's that i didn't type. You're right about your style, CHARGE! When I was waiting for you around a corner I was thinking, will he? won't he? I lob the grenades, and right on cue you round the corner, haha. You gotta mix it up and keep me guessing. On Antargos I started picking spots to camp but you kept me honest there.

OMG my son rules at UT. He is 6 and last night in a fair and square match at Helen's Mt. Saint Helen server my6 boy beat me and several others several times! I never play against my boy because I never thought he understood it was me. Well last night he proved me wrong!

I have to video tape this and put up a link to it at some point.

I also want to thank Helen for showing up as he always does and David made his UT DM debut and owned me often. Helen came in with a new strategy that worked well too. Helen kicked my but a lot more than usual last night. Lastly, I have to thank HOOK for showing up and getting busy with us for a few rounds. I used to think the bots were hard but I did far more badly against a house full of real players.

No matter though. I moved up the ranks from 10th to 9th place now and expect to get into the top 5 within the year! The new time of 10:00 pm worked out much better for me and my family as well. I think the biggest shock for me through the night was a few things: I finally met Helen's #1 bot and it was surely the toughest bot I have ever seen on a server. Then seeing my son totally play awesome and beat me legitimately for the first time ever blew my mind. A major shock was seeing David join and play and be so freaking good. I have to admit David that I thought you were going to be easy pickings but you are a sound UT player for sure and I look forward to trying to even up our score soon. I feel you certainly got the best of me last night. Awesome for you but now you are on my list! LOL. I hope to see all of you again tonight!

Your son is very good for his age. Even a couple weeks ago when he played and you said he was messing around, I still thought that was pretty good. But last night he was great! And he'll have so many new tricks to learn to keep getting better. Geez, lucky guy, I didn't get exposed to UT until I was 33 lol.

Yeah video tape him, always fun to hear the things that kids say. Tell me, I hope he doesn't get all disappointed when he loses. I don't want to sit here thinking I'm responsible for depressing a 6 year old

Yeah David's obviously played a game or two of DM before. And yes good to see Hook finally. I liked the atmosphere that if someone wanted to win a map they went for it, while others were content to goof off. Or even a mix of both. All in all a good time.
