Nope, if my son gets mad when he loses he doesn't say anything. He may move over to an easier server as he did tonight. I tried to get him to come play at HOOK's with us but he was as happy as could be playing in a DM practice round on a standard map. I should turn up his bots when he isn't looking and get him to play really good. LOL He's already too good in my opinion.

For the record, I moved up another knotch tonight from #9 to #8. It was a pretty good time tonight. I have to get better with the shock rifle and regular rifle. I miss way too much!

I suppose if you start doing something that young, it becomes second nature. Maybe playing UT for him isn't too different from walking or climbing...

I didn't start playing FPS games until I was 7 or 8 and I'm just as comfortable in the game world as I am in the real one. I can type with my eyes closed, have memory maps of pretty much every MH map ever, and headshot subconsciously. Some noises in life trigger instincts in-game (one car advert has a sound just like a Strogg grenade from Quake Wars about to explode. Every time I hear it my mind goes "RUN!")

Anyhow, my point is that if you start young enough, games become natural, even instinctive. Mini-cyborg Hermskii :P

Awesome insight BIOMECH. You just don't cease to amaze I guess. I agree. I think he started so young that it is all natural maybe. I watched him last night for a little bit and he still thinks to follow the player rather than to shoot them while thinking they will show him the good stuff via bot paths.

You should see him play NaliWeapons servers. OMG! He is awesome and fun to watch. I will video him soon. Peace out all.

There is a good chance I won't be on this weekend at Helen's or anywhere for that matter. I'll be out of town.

Alot of the awesome factor probably comes from the weapons there :P

Not at all actually. They are all standard weapons. What is awesome is the gameplay. Helen has the bots too tough but with focus you can beat them. When several real players show up, everything changes. The maps are good the server runs great and the players who show up have all been awesome.

It is just a fun time! Do it!

Thanks for the kind words Herm :)

BIOMECH's comment about awesome weapons puzzled me, so methinks he was referring to this comment of yours:

I'll plug my bots. I have set my bots up to be very human-like. This makes them fun to play against. It also helps you practice become a better player, using skills you would need against other real players. Essentially I'm talking about moving left and right while firing, and dodging.

And, the bots are not all stuck at the same level of experience, so in a single map you can have bots with varying levels of experience.

Tonight if I see someone playing I'll join, otherwise I'm trying to finish my map :)

Like I said, I was out. I'm sunburned to a crisp. It was a great weekend and a Very Happy Father's Day! I hope it was the same for any other fathers out there.

I did it! I made the top 5 at helen's late Friday night. I also got a friend to reinstall UT and join us. We had a blast! Saturday night was even better. I haven't laughed that hard in a long long time playing UT.

We then made it over to HOOK's on schedule but had a hard time getting in because he had a full house once again! I have asked HOOK to increase his max player load to 12 now and am thinking he may want to go with 15. His server has not crashed on me once in the last sevral weeks!

Yea He is running Game Servers so unless Lucifur pays for 12 slot then it will have to stick with 10 herm, but I can't wait to play tomorrow on Helens and CLD!! See ya there.
