The last time an obvious image was taken from a website was taken and posted here it was challenged as far as how real it was though I too have a screen shot of it in real time and have no doubts. That is true of the link I offered so I got a good screen shot of it too. I hope each of you do as well.

I don't want to get you (EvilGrins) in the middle of anything but at the same time, there are bad people out there that need to be called out and I have done that recently!

Also, I want to mention that you said on the topic I linked to above that in regards to the hit-sound problem you were having, that I told you to reinstall UT.

No I didn't.

I told you to reinstall UT based on the fact that you were having trouble running a server from home and you had only told me "here" that you had a heavily modified version of UT. In the link I posted, you made it sound like I told you to reinstall UT based on the hitsound question you had. That also led GOPOSTAL (Jack Griffin) to assume the wrong thing which started something I should have finished 8 months ago. Not your fault at all and in fact...THANK YOU!!!

I just want to be clear here. Your post there that ilinked to implied I told you to reinstall UT to help troubleshoot an issue you were having wit a hit sound. Here, you had posted about and issue you were having with not being able to advertise your server and you said it was a very modified long kept install of UT. You said there on the topic you posted that I linked to that Itold you to reinstall UT to help fix that issue. I did not. I was telling you to reinstall UT while I explained here also how to keep a copy of your current install to put it back so that I could more easily determine of your issue was with your PC or with your modified version of UT.

I'm not saying you did anything wrong here other than you made me seem like a noob in helping you when at this forum I was unaware that at another forum you had posted the whole story about not having access to the router. You never mentioned that here whare I wash helping you. Additionally, You made my suggestion sound like part of the troubleshoot when it was actually part of the troubleshoot for an entirely different issue you were having. I have no hard feelings but I also have to be clear with the community before it gets taken totally out of context. You and I have already worked together remotely to remove several malwares and viruses from your computer. You have had one on one conatct with me several times and I never did anything on your PC without explaining as you watched exactly what I was doing and why. It reminds me of when I built MEAT's "MEAT's Redeemer Screamer" server several years back. I apologixe for that now as I apologize to you EvilGrins if you read this in any wrong way possible. You are great to have on this forum because you ask new questions and make new chaleenges to all of us that we haven't ever dealt with or haven't dealt with in a lomng long time. I'll doublecheck what I wrote but I don't recall you telling me to reinstall. You told me, as I'm sure I said, that it might be a good idea to install another copy of UT99. As I recall you were quite specific about renaming the directory of the old one so it didn't mess with the installation of a more recent copy.

Also, as I recall, the extra install had nothing to do with the hitsound. It was server issue. Kinda, sorta, maybe...ish.

I would highly recommend Grins that you get a list of things you want accomplished and I am sure server admins here will gladly help you put your server together through teamviewer, Your asking many questions all over the place, stick to a forum ask a particular question and narrow down the checklist one thing at a time, a server comes together through time buddy.

While I'm sure we can set it up, I'm still not totally cool with opening ports on that guy's router though you have already told him we have been in it and it is not secure and he still won't even change the password.
