OH MAN THIS THREAD IS AWESOME!!!!!! I have had my fair share of laughing and have been definately entertained to say the least. All points from all parties involved before this post are all valid in their reasoning (well at least in their own minds) and for once I'm not gonna knock on anybody's reasoning or logic as to what's better.....this or that, these or those, ect. If you play one particular way then go to the server that best supports your play method. If there are not any servers that support the way you play you can either a)grin and bare it ...or....b)build your own server. Bum or Veg or whatever the heck you go by if your not happy with the way something is run how about running your own server? It's not overly hard just ask MEAT or Herm. Since nobody can seem to please you (not sure why anybody would bend over backwards for one player) that would seem to be your only real option now wouldn't it? GOD FORBID you have to play somewhere that you feel uncomfortable at LOL

. If I was a betting man I would have to say this thread was started after getting your head handed to you by D.I./Death Inc. Am I correct?

Now the only real input I have about the thread is this:

That fricking WOT file it is starting to piss me off. And you're not the only one it's affecting Kid.
Although I think I did remove the only map it was associated or linked with?
Please give it another try if you can.

Hey MEAT,

Didn't have any trouble getting on and playing a few maps thru last night. I'm guessing that WOT files is only associated with just a few maps but off the top of my head I can't recall the one that messed up for me. Considering you have like a zillion maps on the server now it might take me awhile to bump back into the map that was giving me the error. If it pops back up I'll make a note and let ya know.

I think it was the DM-CaerMerthyr map? For some reason it's been giving me problems.
I also did a file search and that was the only map it was associated with.
But you never know....lol

as you have just gone and said everything the total opposite of what i have posted.
and for example, Kidcapris is NOT the server for me, youl notice im NEVER there. well there was this one time.....lol
which if you read back in the thread youd notice im not trying to change meats redeemer screamer....i WOULDNT have it any other way. just expressing the differences in skill level between those we call spawn killers (which your server is in a nutshell, hense the lack of my presence) and those who play an overall game of what method needs to be employed. id like to call the adaptable players.

And no, i dont get "my head handed to me" either.

as if im having a damn whinge because i suck at deemer lmao.
im not whinging and again if you read back my point is crystal clear.

1. I (me) dont like spawn killing
2. I like killing spawn killers
3. I like MRS and not other servers
4. Im not whinging i realise that spawn killers will continue to be blemishes on the great game.

Thats it, what point does that take into consideration that im trying to change the game or wanting to start a server or join other servers or whinging or am being a bad sport??

i am not questioning that there is skill in the old school mods of deemer.
There would have to be.
but because im good at tennis, dosnt nessicarily mean id be good at golf because both sports use a ballright?
but say the CG old school server HERMSKII just put up, and compare it to MRS and they are two different games. Might as well be yahtzee and twister!

The thread is about MRS not any other server. if it was about CG or similar maps i would have posted in that forum and made reference accross the board of spawn killers in generall and not directed soley at MRS.

I can't read? Hmmmmm I thought I could but I guess not. Actually Veg/Bum I've read through all 6 pages of this post a few times and I know what's going on. Basically all I was doing was trying to make alittle joke and throw alittle humor out in the works but seems like your taking this stuff just way toooo serious. I didn't get in this thread to argue about the correct way to play or skill levels of anybody.....could care less at this point in time. I just thought it was rather amusing to see somebody as passionate about what they considered the correct/most skilled way of playing this mod. Basically a no harm no foul type of post. You keep playing your way and I'll be glad to keep playing mine.

And for the record I never said that you were whining about anything nor did I say anything about bad sportmanship. And you say I can't read LMAO! Just threw out the option that if you didn't like the way something was going on any of the servers that you could always build your own server and set it to whatever suits your fancy. And the D.I. comment was basically out of curiousity. Was just curious if you had received a beatdown by that player which might have sparked the idea to post about spawn killing. Not like he hasn't handed me my head more than a few times so there isn't any shame in admitting it.

IMO there are only 2 real things you need to know about this game:

1) This is just a game

2) The first person to the frag limit wins..period

Keep up the good work and keep posting. Got to have something amusing to read at work when it's slow.

The biggest point thats being overlooked in my intentions is that im not THAT passionate about it...and gee thanks for pointing it out that it is only a game...for a second there i thought i was wearing gravity boots then i looked down and realised i have my normal shoes on. as i have made reference several times to the fact that i know it is NOT going to change...its obvious im not here to pressure ANYONE to change..in fact recently i (and many other) have found spawn killers quite amusing, in fact they are the basis for quite a few MRS jokes while playing and i think thats great.
I know i personally have talked to quite a few players on MRS who were previous shockin spawn killers and coaxed them out of their lil hidey holes just to try a different way and its good to see them try and adapt to a different style with such positive demeanor.
There is one dudein particular that had NO IDEA that deemers could be so fun.
But please for the love of god...DONOT think i sit at home playing MRS in tears or stay up half the night worring about spawn killers.

First to the frag limit DOES win....but what sort of victory is twice as important!

well might as well ad my two cents worth

bot killing happens cant count the times i spawned and was killed by one so i shoot back some maps are just that way kill or be killed played meat once or twice is was usauly me being killed

but i had fun i use to here these very same arguments on a very ols server {probly wont spell this right but } ohndohers bestro of redemtion server was a total blast redeamer only CTF try runing with a flag and 5 peeps chasing you with deemers

but then i ran into CG server cant spray & pray so i hide and glide most times i just kill what ever i run in to bot or other wise i only play deemers to have fun most days i play sniper servers been threw just about every version of this game like some hated others but deemers ya gotta love speacialy whatchin people splat all over the walls i personely cant say one form ofplay is better than another what ever makes your day but what can you say about a game from 1999 that makes you want to come back and still play 8 years later some new games dont last that long awell have good one frag on

And you're also right shadow_knight about a game lasting 8 years. Hard to believe with all those new versions out there.
