Of course I enjoy watching the show from start to finish. The writing is top notch. Obviously they have a brought on board an entire team of the brightest and best writers for the show.
Also exceptional was the casting of Mayim Bialik in the role of Amy. She is the perfect foil for the hugely talented Jim Parsons as Sheldon. I have been having fun lately watching clips of Amy and Sheldon. Being able to watch the scene over again a few times reveals the talent involved in the acting. Clearly more than one take was often required. I was very impressed when I realized that Mayim Bialik was able to blend the fact that Jim Parsons had almost broken her up and cause her to blow the shot with a burst of laughter at his antics into part of her emoting in the role of Amy. When you watch the episode straight through you don't get a chance to see what she is so cleverly doing. Watch her suppress her laughter and use it as part of her portrayal of Amy in these two scenes:
LMAO
I think if Amy ever does have her way with Sheldon, we'll know that it is likely the last season that they're planning to run the show. May she therefore continue to be thwarted for the time being, and doomed to vicarious thrills such as these.
