Friday at last gang!

Oh, Hermskii, I am going to have to chat with you again - about my old computer.
Remember that problem I had about it asking for a log in to Windows every time I start it up?
I hit cancel - but then it doesn't allow me admin rights.
Something about the .PWD files?

Simple. Log in no matter what it takes. Go to search. Do a search for " *.pwd " not including the quotes. Rename all files found by adding a number one or something you will recall easily. Reboot. When the PC comes up and wants you to set up a password again, leave it blank and hit enter. Done!

Or would those be .PWL files? (I made a mistake)
And, would you change ALL of them?

I think you are right. It is PWL. Which is PassWordList. Yes, change them all. You can always change them back.

Yeah that did it, as far as getting the comp back to where there are no admins or users.
I am now able to do admin things again, as far as I can tell.
BUT - even though it said it would never ask for logins and passwords again if I didn't put one in and hit cancel, it still asks for them when rebooting or starting.
I still have to hit cancel every time I start it up.

EDIT: - All set!
I got rid of all those PWL files except a new one it created and rebooted.
It now is just starting up without asking for a login at all!

Tada! Yeah, for next time don't hit cancel. Hit enter which means that your password is the blank field. Cancel means ask me again next time. Enter means I meant to leave it blank and never ask me about it again.

Yeah, it sure is nice to just hit the start button on my old computer and it just starts up normal, without having to hit cancel the login every time!

Hi folks!
I am still down in Phoenix AZ.

I had Fuzz_Ball over to my place I am at today.
We spent from 1:00 pm to about 4:30 pm or so chatting and having some brew.
Very fun indeed -

I am thinking of some kind of UT People reunion - some central location - anyone who can make it.
