From the ones I've talked to a lot are from sniper servers.
Some looking for something new and others just coming back to the redeemer.
All not wanting to give up on UT 99, much like myself.
Overall feedback is positive.

If you ever see the name "pork_fat". It's my buddy from work.
I've been "tutoring" this guy but it's difficult. :?
He has two left feet...and hands.
Plus, he likes sniping better.

I got frustated in one game and had to take over...those that were there felt my wrath...
And Moon...the ping excuse is wearing thin. Just play harder and smarter.

I like that - 'the ping excuse' ...LOL....Best thing to do when your ping/starts actin up, is to just stand still and dont shoot, or you'll be comitting suicide lol.... till that lil red box on the screen goes away....

Die & get it over with.

I know now than no one (with a correct ping) can imagine what is the kind of ping I'm talking about !!! Only those who have no less than 250 pings can know exactly how it makes you feel not to be playing with equal chances !

When you know how to manage a map and the computer can't let you do it ! This is horrible for nerves !!! (And I'm not talking about spraying all around like some well known players)

You can't imagine how frustrating it is to be following someone with your deemer and he can escape ahead only by translocating himself faster than a redeemer. This is not possible to me...
Even when I programmed some keybinds to translocate as fast as light, I can't escape anyone's deemer !

And when you're waiting up to three or four seconds, turning up in the air, before respawning to be allowed to escape, hide or shoot again !!! While this time, some other player shoot a dozen deemers.
This is THE most irritating problem a bad ping can bring up.

And I know many US (or south america's) players that get crazy on an european server where I play sniping sometimes (it's funny to notice that when my ping is about 50, I don't lose any face to face situation. Unfortunately, there is no european deemer server where you could come and taste what it does with 250 to 400.

I know that some players call this "ping excuses" but they can't even know what kind of problem they're exactly talking about.
That's what makes me angry ! No matter if I win or lose a map if the battle is fair.
When you lose because there is someone that plays better, that doesn't hurt. But when you perfectly know he couldn't get you with equal pings... grrr

So... I stop because this is another dead horse  !... So... I'll keep on playing that unfair way until I get pleasure...
When maps don't provide ping advantage to anyone I happen to win a couple... when people dare to vote for that kinda map !

Nothing is perfect...
Too much lag ? go fishing...

I should consider myself lucky, never really feeling the pain of a higher ping...until the other day.
Grr....you're right, very frustrating. Reminds me of the days of Dial-up.
And no matter how hard you try it never gets better....I hate that.
But I don't think it's a dead horse...maybe there is something that can be done?
