Well here's a reason not to go luddite, and to keep paying the internet robber barons their baksheesh:

My mother was a classically trained singer, and had a side career singing on the radio and on stage in the 1930's and '40's. She also won many contests here in Ontario when she was a teenager. I wish she was still alive sometimes when I see and hear something this amazing, because she would have just loved this. She too would have described this young girl as "an old soul" who has returned to the mortal plane to sing.

That is now one of my all time favs here. That was just plain awesome and I was a top 10 state ranked soccer player in my youth. Thanks for that!
