On the other forums, what is the response you get with these maps you make/alter? Does anyone ever give you crap about changing their maps or you always check first with them etc?

I suspect you play CTF the most. Is that right?

Most people seem to like them, in that those that comment rarely complain. I occasionally get requests for specific alterations... like hook who wants to know if certain maps can be converted to Deathmatch for his PirateDeemer games.

I usually check first when I can but a lot of the older mappers are long gone. I once got approval for something several years after I did the edit, somebody finally checked 1 of their old email addresses.

I suspect you play CTF the most. Is that right?

CTF & CTF4 a lot, yes... but I go for months playing MonsterHunt & Deathmatch too.

MH and DM are my games if I play. I played a full round of CHAOS UT on the HOHCUT2K4 server last night. I won but man how I suck at UT now! I love Chaos. I especially love the bombs you stick on the wall and it makes a laser go across the room and then torches and kills anyone who crosses it. I also love the robot you beam down from space and put in a crowded area and then it kills everybody and you get the credit for the kills and lastly is the Gravity ball thing that sucks in and kills anyone withing about 100 feet of it and again, you get the credit for it. Chaos for UT2004 is awesome!

I haven't seen the ut2004 version of Chaos. That does sound pretty sweet.

Well, if you are willing to put up with about 10 minutes of high-speed downloads, I think you can connect to the server whether you have Chaos installed or not and be able to play. You will have to already have UT2004 installed though.

I do have ut2004 installed, though I haven't touched it in years.

Here is the path if you want to give it a try. Once you connect, it start downloading everything needed to play Chaos on a UT2K4 server.
