Hmm. Wellz. maybe that demo isn't compatible with Vista yet?
I have:
-Sempron 3500+ 1.8Ghz
-1406Mb DDR2 System RAM
-ATi Radeon Xpress 1150 256Mb HyperFlash Memory
The graphics sucked even when I changed my resolution to match Windows and pulled the texture bars all the way up.
Performance, with the sucky graphics, was very decent.
I was able to beat 5 bots set on novice on the first try, and actually enjoy the experience.
Anybody have any recommendations for me? Because I believe that my graphics card should be doing a litttttle bit better.
Tips, anyone? Herm?

I tried it...
I tried it and was totally disappointed. I have a ATI 800 GTO on an old KT400 mobo. This system is twice as powerful as we'll say SCIFY's system. My graphics totally sucked. Iplayed a round of DeathMatch or two and didn't feel the love at all. I could not tell what weapon I was using unless I fired generally. The graphics sucked even on my high end AGP video card.
I'll say the feeling was more like UT than before with other versions like UT2K3 and UT2K4. But... the textures of the scenery and the bots was again too much alike like in UT2K3. I'm glad they brought the rifle back too. The enforcer sux. Damagae appears to be correct. Sizing seemed wrong. It was too dark.
My vote right now is NO based on knowing I'd need a new PC to play this game properly. I need to see this game on a new PC I guess. My NO vote is not set in stone. I need to see it on a better PC than my own. Wait a year or two for my next review. Later!

That's why it's a demo & not the full game. It gives an idea how it's like & what to expect, thus what needs to be done if upgrades are needed, etc.
I would personally wait a bit even after the full version is out, simply cause things may be found and a patch made. Seen so many games recently where it's the case, like BF with several in fact over a short period of time. Not saying this will though, but I'm sure at least one since they took a while for it's release to make sure it's as good as it could be.

This might be your problem...
Epic Forum wrote:If you're experiencing blurry graphics, lots of jagged edges, and your system meets or exceeds our recommended system specs, it's possible this automatic configuration is the culprit.
You can override these detected settings by going to the Advanced Video options in the UT3 demo. You can access these settings by:
- Select Settings from the Main menu
- Select Video from the Settings menu
- Select the Advanced button on the Video Settings screen
Screen Percentage: The most likely reason for an overall low visual quality. If set to 50, for instance, and UT3 was running at 1280x960, the actual image quality would be comparable to 640x480. Set the slider to 100 to force the game's resolution to the resolution your game is actually running at. In the example above, this would mean the image quality at 1280x960 would actually be 1280x960.
