This motherboard+cpu deal is any good,http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... No=3322768 because the last time i bought computer parts off of the internet they sucked...... :x :x :x

Doesn't look half bad in the specs. but i have never heard of MSI. Have you?
I have always had good luck with Asus. But i bought a combo MB before and didn't use half the added fluff. Mine came with onboard graphics and sound. Would be better to find one without these or get plain good MB because you are no doubt going to install a good sound and graphics card. Why buy crap you wont use.

MSI has been doing MBs for about 15 years now. They do a good job, not the best but good.

MSI does make pretty good mobo's overall but this one confuses me. Yes, it has a modern socket for a modern cpu but the ram is only DDR 800? Isn't that from 3-4 years ago? It has a AGP 8X slot but AGP 8X is about 4 years old now. No PCI Extreme slot for an actually powerful video card on here? Only 2 memory slots?

I say wait longer like right after Christmas but before the new year. Spend a little more and get a lot more. MSI is good though. Visit this site and post the same question:

I learned lots about PC stuff from this place a long time ago. Visit the motherboard forum at www.anandtech.com too. The are super technical but friendly there.
