This Needs To Happen

Okay, I've read some other threads/posts and seen that people are getting annoyed by other people either shooting/boosting other players, and also blocking teleporters and lifts. The NoBoost mutator can help you with the problem of being shot off (I think) but players who block teleporters and lifts, nothing can be done about quickly enough.

When the mapvote screen is open there is an option to kick other players, however this is currently disabled. Hermskii, or someone needs to enable it. PLEASE

It is incredibly annoying and completely goes against the rule of "No Poor Sportsmanship Allowed".

You guys just don't understand.

At all.

That will not work. We will have more problems then we had in the beginning. People will be kicked by majority.. and whoever just happens to be the majority rules.

The admins would be perfectly capable handling this problem if the general players would STOP giving clues as to who is an admin.

I'm not going to point out any names, but it seems like everytime a jerk/lamer is screwing around, I try to neutralize the problem by ACTING like a regular player who is going to CONTACT an admin. But this doesn't work when people say, "ooooo, I feel a ban coming on!" or "get em matrix!"

So now I'm worthless as an admin. All the regular lamers know who I am.

I dont know guys i do want a kick vote back but i know the trouble it causes first hand. Ive been ganged up on and kicked out of a server for being to good (believe it or not supreme

) I was on a sniper server and three other guys only spoke Spanish, i finished a map with 30 or so frags and the closest one had like 10-12. They started speaking to each other and i saw my name a couple of times and it said three kick votes were placed against me and it boot me off. Came back on and the same thing happened. I didnt even talk to the guys except things like "nice shot". Things like that are going to happen trust me. Keep things like that in mind when you post stuff like this. Later all

MH-Godz IS BEING PLAYED TOO MUCH AGAIN!!!

everytime i go on the server everyone votes for it and its insanley boring after playing it a million times and it lasts for ever

besides Birdbrained is better!

I'd have to agree with supreme. I was one of the ones for godz but i didnt know they would play it this much. Plus this is where a big percentage of the lamers seem to be at. maybe putting godz back on was a bad thing? idk just a thought. I like the level but not when i play it everytime i log on to the server.

C'mon folks, it isn't played that much. I have it set to where they have to play at least 3 or 4 other maps before any map can be replayed I thought. I agree with you though that it is played to much AND I already knew that maps with BT type stuff in them attrack lamers. It is why I started getting rid of the maps that REQUIRE BT type play to proceed. I defend Andromeda because I don't think you can actually block players from finishing the map. I know it is possible in Hebereke and Godz and maps like those. Even BirdBrained can be blocked I think.

So what is the deal folks? You want me to re-remove MH-Godz Return map again?

Maybe I need to make another MH server that has nothing but these types of maps on it. Hmmmmm! It would be extra cool to make it where the players could not do this crap to each other too. I bet that would piss off more than half the players that joined. Like I said, these kinds of maps attract LAMERS. Not everyonewho plays them is a lamer. It is just that these maps seem to call to trouble makers to come and start trouble since they usually designed in such a way that they are easy to ruin by being a jerk. They'd never try this crap on a map Like MH-LostInTime. Later!

BTW, to Udder and Supreme. I don't use the kick feature in MapVote because it causes more trouble than it fixes usually. I have had many peeps get kicked for playing well or not voting the way the masses want who are often jerks late at night when Admins are often asleep.

I feel pretty strongly about this and have visited this request many many times over the last few years. I will not be using the kick vote feature. We will have to rely on me digging through logs, blocking players who are being jerks. Remember, when you come across one, tell them to stop a few times. Then type their exact name and add several asterics like this example: Player Name ********************. Another example of somebody reporting me would look like this:

Hermkii ********************

Then report the player here. I'll search through the logs for ***** and everywhere that you typed that during the game will show up. I can then read and decide for myself what happened, how ya'll tried to warn the player and finally BAN that player if needed. Trust me. This method works. I've done it for years but I used a slightly less effective method before now. Later!

Herm didnt there use to be some kind of mod u guys had that made players ghost like and you could walk through them? cant remeber the name though.... what happened to that maybe that might be the solution. Plus its not the bt part of godz that is being blocked its the actual level part the teleporters. Maybe there should be another server with maps like godz and birdbrained password protected maybe like korts idk though that might be alot of work. Funny X and i have had this idea for a while but we know nothing about servers so we decided no to do it. Later all!

ok i guess ur right about the kickvote, btw jus incase u dont know, wen ur searchin logs if u press Ctrl and F it brings up a search within the log were u can type in a word/name and it will find all of the lines were the word is found

Baha, this is funny. I think Herm knew this, because searching the logs would be a pain in the you-know-where if he didn't.
