Anyone heard of Intelligent Design? I don't want to go deep into it, but if you know what it is WITHOUT looking it up, just lemme know first.

Just a survey thingy.

Yes - it is something I have seen recently and is and has been also a subject that is close to my heart for many years - however it really opens doors to much heated debate!
Not always a good thing to bring up on a forum!

Yes, people are losing friends at school because I brought this theory up to settle a religious vs. scientific debate in science class when studying the origin of the Universe.

Debate is fun, but when debate enters the realm of religion, things get ugly.

Another point, many people would say that the main reason that there is a war in Iraq right now is because the U.S. needs oil..
Weelll, watching some of my friends that are lifelong friends with each other turn to hate each other because of their different beliefs and perspectives of religion, I know believe that religion probably the number one cause for war.
Being one of the few people who have read the Koran, or Qur'an, I stand strong in that area.

But just a thought, no need for debate.

I too semi-know ID. It was mentioned in one of the books i was reading. It was probably Dan Brown's Angels and Demons although im not entirely sure. i know the basics not too much detail but its not a HUGE issue here in California, yet well anyways around the part im at in cali. hmm thats about all i have to say.

BTW WOW is addicting you gotta quit the wow matrix otherwise you will have to go to interventions and stuff. haha lol jp

Heh. I read about 7 pages on Intelligent Design. Pretty interesting.

As we combatted the thought of an explosion from nothingness creating the four dimensions and all the matter and mass, many people who see any theory not directly involving God himself as false and corrupt, would say that the Big Bang theory contradicts science itself.. because it does not follow the Law of Conservation of Matter, which states: no matter can be created or destroyed.... which is said in Earthly terms, I doubt the laws of science on our planet are even similar the laws of a megacomplex Universe like that of ours.

But UED2 gave me another thought to chew on: What if, this Big Bang didn't create the four dimensions: length, width, height, and time, and all the matter and mass of the Universe out of enery in nothingness, but what if the explosion simply SUBTRACTED the matter and volume from the "void"?

Makes you think, eh?

This ID thing is just another attempt of the religious community to undermine science again. It is quite laughable.

I am very open mind person I believe in god.

I hate : People push religion onto others.
