That is my eta on a new box too. i have to do a complete rebuild with new faster parts to play that game. Looks really good though.

Got it today! Not running to great on my 9800

but it's ok I'll build a comp later on that 'll be better for it then, I just wanted to get the game now !

It is too late for all of you just as it is for me. What do I mean? I mean that even when you get the newer computer, you will still prefer UT99 over UT3.

I have a BFG GeFORCE 7600GS OC video card. It runs UT3 perfectly! Yes, it is pretty to look at and the graphics are awesome but it is not enough to make you prefer it over UT99. It is too late for all of us I fear.

I love and can run 2k4 fine, I was just hoping that with a little tweak here and maybe putting up with having to run it with all the eye candy turned off, maybe find a playable setting. But at least I'll have all the stuff loaded and can transfer the old HD to a new comp in the next few months I hope..

I am thinking it might be a waste of money for me to buy UT3 because of that reason!
I am not sure I want all of the muck that they have added onto UT over the years! (like vehicles, etc.)
I like it easy to play and simple! - Like UT99!

Hey chef, we are talking about UT3 not UT2K4. Was what you said a misprint? UT3 requires a better PC and video card than UT2K4.

Duh! of course I'm talking about UT3

In other words yea I've got Ut3 and it will run , but looks like crap and runs at about 30fps, but, who cares it beats sitting on the side lines and not getting to play with the new UT3 weapons thats being made by Cyberhawk and Mr Bee!
