Uggggh!

The error means that you downloaded a different version of that same file from a different server. The answer is to search for that file in your UT folder. Delete the folder called Cache. Delete all of the XXX.tmp files in your UT folder. Now try to connect again. Is the error still there? If so search, your UT for that file again and delete it. Now connect! Later

Weird, the first thing I do with mismatches is to look through my folders, find the file and delete.
As well as delete all my CacheXXX.temp files.
This time I even went the extra step and "Searched" all files and folders but still nothing.
Could not find "ClanLogoPackage" anywhere.
Plan B? :?
Maybe you can send me the file K?

David wrote:I had the same error, and I could not find the clanlogo file, but I did what was advised, sort of.

I went to my UT folder and then used ctrl f, to search for files within the UT folder. I then typed in "*.tmp" I then sent all the temp files into the trash. I was then able to go to MHM2 without any error.

Just tossing in my 2 cents.
Yeah, basically that's what I did....I go start this click search.
But no ".temps" files to be found.
Plus once I get the mismatch error I'm booted out of UT and then I get this error message:

---------------------------
Critical Error
---------------------------
Assertion failed: GIsEditor || GetSuperClass() || this==UObject::StaticClass() [File:C:\UTDev\Core\Src\UnClass.cpp] [Line: 871]
History: UClass::Bind <- (Class MultiMesh.multimeshmenu) <- ULinkerLoad::CreateExport <- (multimeshmenu 76003) <- ULinkerLoad::Create <- UObject::StaticLoadObject <- (Core.Class MultiMesh.MultiMeshMenu NULL) <- UObject::ProcessEvent <- (UTConsole Transient.UTConsole0, Function UWindow.WindowConsole.UWindow.PostRender) <- UGameEngine::Draw <- UWindowsViewport::Repaint <- UWindowsClient::Tick <- ClientTick <- UGameEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

So if K wants to send me a copy of ClanLogoPackage I'll install and see if it
works.....and if no send I'll just get over it. :?

.tmp

Post by Hermskii » Fri Feb 22, 2008 9:29 pm

Here it is:

Ready?

Here we go...

Go to C:\UnrealTournament.

Delete the Cache folder.

Delete every file that ends with .tmp

Several of you won't be able to see the .tmp file extension at the end of the file names because it is hidden by default. If you are one of these people, just delete every file that starts with the word cache that is in your C:\UnrealTournament folder.

Now, try to connect again and be ready to write down the exact name of the file you are getting the error with if it happens again.

Tell us what happens. CYA!

I've deleted the Cache folder and all temp files.
I've preformed a "search" for:
-ClanLogoPackage
-.temp
-Cache
I have none of the above to be found.

Here I go.....
Third time is the charm....but no. :(
Package ClanLogoPackage version mismatch

OK

Post by Hermskii » Fri Feb 22, 2008 10:08 pm

OK, MEAT. The ClanLogoPackage can be found in your C:\Unrealtournament\system folder. The entire name of the file(s) is ClanLogoPackage.u and ClanLogoPackage.int. There may also be another one there called ClanLogoPackage.ini. Delete them if you find any of them. Then all you will need to do is repeat my steps in order from above (two posts up) and then do what I said to do here. Then try to connect again please. I hate to say it but I think you are not searching properly. Let us know.

Another thought

Post by Hermskii » Fri Feb 22, 2008 11:03 pm

Once you can get on at MHM2, you will no longer to be able to get on the other server that originally sent you the other version of this file. You'll have to do all of this again each time you swap back and forth between servers. Sorry but true. I stick to the servers that I support on this forum only. That keeps me out of file mismatch trouble pretty well.

It is really shocking that we don't have more file mismatch errors between all of these Deemer and MH servers here. We are lucky I guess but I'm not superstitious either. It is simply that we are better than EVERYONE else! CYA!

Opps....my bad.....I stand correct.

I've preformed a "search" for:
-ClanLogoPackage
-*.tmp
-Cache

And I still get "Package ClanLogoPackage version mismatch"

I know I know...it shouldn't happen and why it does, after I deleted everything, is beyond me.

Hmmm...

Post by Hermskii » Sat Feb 23, 2008 12:09 am

Ok, this is part of MapVoteLA13. See in the readme it says:

Q: How do I add a clanlogo into mapvote (displayed in the middle of the Votewindow)?
A: LogoTexture=ClanLogoPackage.TextureName
Make sure the Clanlogo is added to the Serverpackages aswell

So, it seems that maybe Kort and I each have the following line set up in our MapVoteLA.ini file. Mine says:

LogoTexture=MHM.MHMlogo

If hers says the same thing then I think this is the problem. She will want to rename hers and reupload it as MHM2.MHM2logo.

If she does that or if I change mine, then the problem should go away.

She or I would also have to alter a server package we have called:

ServerPackages=MHM

It seems each of us use the same package name to have the cute picture that sits in the middle of our Mapvote screen of our server's name. We ahev differetn pictures with the same file name so this is a near perfect example of a "File MisMatch Error" except this one was really hard to figure out.

I rule! I'm shocked I figured this out! I rule! Yeah baby!

So, I guess Kort and I have to talk. Once we figure out who is going to change what, the error will go away for all of you. CYA!

Get in touch with me K.

My package name for the logo is ClanLogoPackage.Monkey

But i just noticed my file is a .utx file. Is it supposed to be a .u file? It's just a texture.

Also:
It is in the serverpackage list so it should be sending it.
Should i rename it to something else? Probly be a good idea huh? :lol:

Still, I don't know why this would stop him from connecting.
